Well I don't want the Wii U picking up from 3DS trends...seems like it already has :| |

Well it's just incorporating things that were awesome in Mario Kart 7 and keeping that plus MOAR!!!!!! ____________________ You can tell I'm testing new avatars. Status: Totally didn't change this, nothing to see here. |

I liked Double Dash better too and they should put less underwater and more gliding, because the water just made the game feel slow. Ex: Wario Shipyard, Rosalina's Ice World, Cheep Cheep Lagoon. ____________________ You can tell I'm testing new avatars. Status: Totally didn't change this, nothing to see here. |

It would be great of Nintendo made the underwater racing faster. The default propellor should be more or less faster than normal racing.
Posted by Stygmax That would be really nice. I hope thet make the racing faster amd addd a spedometer like MKDD. I dunno. Mayne the spedometer is what made Double Dash feel fast? ____________________ Super Mario LOLand Thanks to kaj for helping to port my Acmlmboard 2.5 layout to Acmlmboard 2.064! |

Posted by Stygmax The use of the Möbius strip represents the Mario Circuit-like track and the gane's gravity features. I am looking forward to more courses resembling a Möbius strip. ____________________ Super Mario LOLand Thanks to kaj for helping to port my Acmlmboard 2.5 layout to Acmlmboard 2.064! |

There are still many possibilties though. A track with more than two loops or just a mostly horizontal Raimbow Road a couple of possibilites. ____________________ Super Mario LOLand Thanks to kaj for helping to port my Acmlmboard 2.5 layout to Acmlmboard 2.064! |

Personally i'd like them to do more gliding, the gliding in MK7 was a bit too quick an unexperiencing. |

Posted by Silver Posted by HolyRomanEmperorTatan I would simply like a balance of underwater racing, gliding, and anti-gravity. The underwater racing should be faster and the gliding should be slower. ____________________ Super Mario LOLand Thanks to kaj for helping to port my Acmlmboard 2.5 layout to Acmlmboard 2.064! |

Faster gliding, but longer sections of it, faster under water, and a lot of zero gravity, whether it's in shortcuts, or part of the track. ____________________ You can tell I'm testing new avatars. Status: Totally didn't change this, nothing to see here. |

meh Gliding shouldn't be increased unless you gain item immunity.
Getting hit by a Green/Red Shell while Gliding (which can happen and has happened alot) hurts more than getting hit by a Blue Shell on land ____________________ Former SMG2.5 Advertiser and one-time Level Designer/Artist - So Apparently Norway is rich while Denmark and Sweden are happy. Posted by MarioMaster720 True, but the long gliding should be more for shortcuts so it is like taking a risk. ____________________ You can tell I'm testing new avatars. Status: Totally didn't change this, nothing to see here. |

Posted by MarioWiki The "8" is of course based a Möbius strip. I never knew about the scrapped Spin Drill-like though. So the anti-gravity was used instead because Nintendo wanted to take advantage of the Wii U's power and make tracks with 3D planes. I wonder how many things will be different in the final version than the demo. Most likely the fonts because they truly did seem "beta". ____________________ Super Mario LOLand Thanks to kaj for helping to port my Acmlmboard 2.5 layout to Acmlmboard 2.064! |

Sorry for the bump, but I found this:
By Christopher MacManus, CNET A heartwarming story out of Hugo, Colo., tells a tale of how a 10-year-old boy saved his great grandmother and brother's life after she passed out behind the wheel of their vehicle going 60 miles per hour. Where did his driving expertise come from? Mario Kart, naturally. Denver NBC affiliate KUSA has the report on how young Gryffin Sanders became a hero in the throes of chaos. Last Friday, everything seemed normal for the boy and his family until their vehicle crossed the center lane and beelined straight into oncoming traffic. The car also contained his 4-year-old brother. "My first thought was actually, is this a test or what?" Sanders said. "My heart was thumping. The situation truly was a test, as his great grandmother lost control after what may have been a mild heart attack. After trying to wake her up, Sanders took the wheel and steered the vehicle toward a ditch full of mud. According to KUSA, Sanders told reporters that he got his driving skills from playing Mario Kart. Fortunately, due to his brave actions, the car came to a stop, and KUSA reports that there were no injuries in the accident. These days, you can't go too long without hearing something about the negative impact of video games on impressionable minds -- but as Gryffin Sanders shows us, there's plenty of positives that can derive from gaming, too. Whether this is true or not I'm not sure, but it is interesting ____________________ Remember, every user has to start out somewhere,- Every time I look back at my old posts, I cringe. |

Very nice story indeed. Unfortunately though, kids will not be able to save other people's lives while driving upside down or on walls like in MK8 ____________________
