Ah I remember my parents trying to forbid me using all computer/gaming console stuff for a week if I did shitty things like being a dick to my brother.

Tho they allways lifted the ban the next day because I annoyed them even more then.

Punishments like these just don't work

dad: okay I'll take away your computer monitor without even letting you a chance to turn it off cleanly because I'm an idiot who thinks your computer is a mere toy

me: ok I'm going on strike

which is where I started locking myself in my room and sitting on my bed for all the time I wasn't at school, and generally shitting on the ambiance at home

it lasted for a while then they backed off and the unpopular measure was cancelled


it was kind of dumb in that I was deliberately sabotaging my own course, but knowing how much they pressured themselves about it, it was efficient

you don't need to understand French to lose your brain cells watching that commercial

there are a few different variations of it, what changes is how they go out of their way to spill their washing powder/crap (even an idiot wearing boxing gloves would spill far less product), the rest is similar. first part is about how washing clothes the regular way is absurdly difficult, then they introduce their magical product and suddenly it's so easy that they're all partying like crazy.



also, all the ads for tampons and similar shit. they're all jumping on the "change the rules of the game" bandwagon.

and they're part of those ads that have """"average consumers"""" get interviewed and give their opinion on the product. with big quotes because it's fake (or I hope it is; if they ever start asking me about some dumb product while I'm in the streets, they can go fuck themselves).

b) it's better if kids know badwords and know not to spout them at random and why, than if they're kept into ignorance to "protect" them

yeah, he's a bigot, film at eleven

he claims it would be too much medical expenses for the military. yeah he's not a big fan of healthcare either.


if there's anything interesting to this era, it's politics getting really clear, and radicalization resulting from that.

although we still have a bunch of "<direct action> is stupid and childish! you should get more involved politically and do <thing that is known not to work>". yeah, as if asking nicely would put an end to global warming.

and radicalization, of course, works both ways, towards far-Left but also towards far-Right.

so in the end this is kind of a mess, but it's interesting times to live.
