Just a video for you all (especially Undertale fans!) to relax on!

So a hello to you all again after 2 years in the underworld; I'm currently working on an impossible piano remix of the Asgore theme from Undertale. It's my first attempt at these sorts of remixes, so yeah...

It's still in-the-works, and is about 20-25% finished. Currently it has around 30,000 notes. I'm aiming for somewhere between 100K and 200K notes.

Sorry for the potato video quality (720p30), the finished version will get a 1080p30 treatment if not 4K60 (if I can figure out how to hack my video editor)

And...this thread will be updated as I get to major milestones in the project!

BTW use headphones.

Well, I mean, surveys are ok if they are offered by a trusted company that actually has been proven to give out rewards for their completion (e.g. Swagbucks)

But I think he's talking about the things like "Get a free Amazon Gift Card, etc" and you click the button, and it says something like "hacking the database...please wait" and then the human verification thing pops up. I was an idiot back then and actually tried this until I realized...this is all fake. The surveys keep going forever, and you never get anywhere.

Talking about phones I'm a phone geek so..., I used to have an LG G4, which is superb for its camera quality, I actually took so many 4K skiing videos using it. Although its battery isn't too good, most likely because the 1440p resolution screen (which has 1 million more pixels than my computer monitor).

But unfortunately, it fell in some snow during a video. It wasn't that bad really. It was even in a plastic Ziploc bag (but water got into it somehow). And yeah, the touchscreen just stopped working. And since it was out of warranty at the time, I had to get a new phone.

There are plenty of those old cheap phones out there, and not having enough money at the time, I got a Nexus 4. But hell damn the battery, it was so terrible. I am not kidding when the phone dies in 3 minutes playing a mildly intensive game like Clash Royale, being fully charged. It could last around 20 minutes when I carried this huge Portable 10000 mah battery but no, I got tired of it and just threw the phone on some concrete to annihilate it.

And then I decided to get a FirePhone just because it is cheap and has Snapdragon 801. The battery is still worse than the G4 and isn't that great, but at least it is not as deprecated as the Nexus (it can last half a day of mild use).

In the future, I'm probably going to go for a Samsung (sorry grid) S7 Edge. It has a huge battery. Although I'd prefer it was removable , there isn't much to complain as the only phone with that feature and is the latest of its line that is sortaok is the G5 but they damn made the battery smaller and screen smaller as well (I'm a big phones person, honestly). I also enjoy how it is waterproof (yay more skiing videos) and the removable sd card.

The reason I'm not going after Nexus anymore is because they don't know who to choose to design phones. They never shouldve chose Huawei to design the 6P. Terrible build quality basically, and it lasts only 4 hours of YouTube when it is new. Such a pity concerning its little brother, the 5X gets 5 hours.

And no, no iPhone. I might offend lots of you here, but iPhone just sucks IMO because you can't even damn access storage from the phone itself. You can't install apps from sources other than the App Store (hey I play Undertake on my phone) and just in general it doesn't offer much flexibility. It is also way more expensive. You might say, get the SE, but heck no, my eyes are already quite bad and a 4 in screen = aargl. I would rather get a OnePlus 3 with top specs.

And S6, no. One of my friends was actually stupid enough to upgrade to it. I would actually choose the S5 over this. Not only does it remove the SD card and make the battery nonreplacable, it also makes the battery smaller.

I think middle school is basically the legitimate cutoff for if you have a phone or not. I got my first one in 7th grade actually, a good one, a OnePlus One. I'm not one of those retards who get them for free from their parents tho, I actually have to pay for it. And no, I don't have infinite allowance. My allowance is 20$ a year so I have to rely on competition money really. And haha xkitten, I switch phones every 6 months usually

That was quite epic. How do you do that?

I used a program called Domino to make the Black MIDI. Too bad I don't know Japanese, so I have to use the outdated English translation version, which is at 1.22 and thus has a lot of bugs and is quite hacky (the current version is only in Japanese and is at version 1.43)

Those long red notes spanning the whole screen are kinda unpleasant to listen to.

Thanks for bringing that to my attention, tho I thought the purple notes were more unpleasant. I'll turn the velocity for the spammy stuff down a bit in the final version.

One question : Is your MIDI Reader not playing some notes? It looks like it since there are some notes I don't seem to hear. If you are using a software like FL Studio or Ableton to create these MIDIs, are you modifying the note properties for it to not be heard?

The MIDI reader I use is Piano From Above, since the website that hosts it is down, you have to download it through the mirror at Keppy Studios. It doesn't "skip" notes or anything, I actually render the audio using Keppy's MIDI Converter and then import it into the video using a video editor. Yes, the notes that you don't hear are at a very low velocity (that's why you can't hear them) because they're just there for decoration. I'm actually implementing fireballs and other Undertale weaponry used by the monsters as note art in the later sections of the song.

Lots of problems have happened to me before when updating such as not being able to connect to the internet or the sound not working, so now I basically try never to shut down or reset the computer when it says there is a new update available (unless something crashes).

Well, this feature is especially made for people who have bigger smartphone, I would say 5.5 inch display size or larger. I've actually had this feature on the G4, and it worked great. It was pretty convenient and perfect for multitasking.

If you're talking about a phone smaller than 5 in, then good luck I guess...
