Last view: 1574 days ago 		Been having some trouble trying to determine what I'd need to do the following tasks:
a) Extract files (or a ROM? IDK) of one of those games
b) Play the modified files (or ROM? IDK)
c) Anything else I'd need to know before getting started?
d) Do I need any particular hardware, e.g. a game such as Cubic Ninja or a Gateway 3DS? .-.

My 3DS is on firmware 10.1.0-27U , I have Ironfall Invasion and YouTube, and have yet to install anything else for this. Does anyone have answers to the above questions?

Not sure if either of those are around yet. :P

Edit: There is, however, pkhex for ninjhax/ironhax etc.

Also, Gateway 3DS sucks, it's only compatible with system version 4.x, so it wouldn't work for you.
If you really wanna be a pirate, get a Sky3DS, or better yet, an r4 3DS (yeah, those exist now).

From what I last remember the models had to be the same amount of verts/polys as the original or it wouldn't work, but that may have been fixed by now.

pkhex is a form of hacking, but it only allows you to edit your Pokemon .sav through ninjhax + clones (ie Pokemon, stats, items, stuff like that... or maybe it's just the Pokemon).

I've never really looked into it, seeing as the last Pokemon game I got was HeartGold/Platinum version.

...Does the ORAS demo count? :P

I am aware of the need for a ROM.

So...IronHax works on Firmware 10.1.0-27U?

Also is there any particular reason PkHex is recommended as a Hex Editor?
