Blarg. Stupid censoring. Dramatic news aren't for kids, also, censoring what's supposed to be the corpses with so much pixelating, pretty much removes any credibility from the picture.

Also, I think there's no problem with believing into whatever gods. I just hate it when people kill eachother because they disagree over religion bullshit. "god isn't named Allah blah blah" how the fuck do they know about that? How the fuck do people know anything about God(s)? They're never showing themselves and trying to talk to us! I'm not going to say that they don't exist, though. We can't prove that they exist, but actually we can't prove that they don't exist either...

Yeah well. We have something called "Sentences" that can explain these people:

Man, Thats enough writing....

I use Sketchup and it works now. But sometimes there are some holes in the colission^^

Do you "Triangulate" your project. If not. Do it:

You can get the "Triangulation" plugin for Sketchup here:

http://osbo.com/sketchup/triangulate/

Instruction of use:

1. Download the plugin
2. put it into the plugin folder to Google Sketchup
3. When finished modeling, click "Plugins" and then "triangulate".
NOTE: Make sure to save you model BEFORE triangulating the model, incase you need to modify the level (which is for the most cases.)
Why? Because when you have triangulated your project, then you can't modify it, thats why!

If you record using DeSmuME's Record AVI option, no lag. Even if your game runs at 1fps, the final video is all smooth.

However, you may have to record in raw and compress after- when I try to record directly into XviD, desmume crashes when I end recording, and the final video is corrupted. Blarg /

DeSmuMe is out of the question for me. The only emulator that doesn't lag for me or even works is No$gba. I TOTALLY wish that one had that feature.

But yeah, thanks for the advice

This is for you Mega-Mario when you sit on your chair thinking about what next feature you will be working on, when the other features are perfectly bug free =P

Don't Miss understand. I don't say "Hurry up" or something. I can wait forever-- I've been waiting for TT64 v6.0b to come out... and still it's not here. And might never come.

Super Mario 64 DS Level Editor Features:

Level Importer:
- Texture Properties (Like you can set a property to a texture, like a lava texture, and you set the property to lava and Mario/Lu/Wa/Yo will burn themselves when touching it)

- Boundaries (Shows the model bounderies in the preview window)
- Textures: Opacity? Transparent?

Level Features:
- Set Music (explains itself)
- Custom Music
- Edit Textures/Custom Textures
- Edit Backgrounds/Custom Backgrounds
- Edit Dialogs
- Geometry Model editing (if possible)

For Experts:
- External Editing (even if you can just do it in a hex editor, it would be nice to have everything inside =) )

So that worked?

You see, the Triangulation plugin "Triangulate" the model you created, basically cuts it up to many, many triangle shaped faces. And from what I know, Super Mario 64 DS support that.

Super Mario Galaxy 64 DS will simply be a story, following the galaxy (1) story. However, Super Mario Galaxy is a very advanced game which has much more capability than the SM64DS/SM64. So here are the downsides, this is what that wont be in the game:

- Space/Magnetic Gravity (This just isn't possible)
- Balance on rolling stones...
- Bouncing Tree's
*More will come up*

And because of these circumstances, the gameplay will be alot different. And the placement of objects will be in different spots, and so on.

The first thing that will be focused on:
- Level Editing in Google Sketchup

What I'm doing now:
Creating the map where you have to play hide and seek with the bunnies

Okay, what do you think.

You couls tell me what I can do I'm interested in it

umm, "couls" supposed to be "Could"?

Anyway, if you want to help, then I need a specific texture.
This roof texture from Super Mario Galaxy 1. If you can find a rip or make a rip
of this texture, than that would be helpful.

About gravity, it can be reproduced to an extent- see those pillars in SSL. It is possible to make Mario walk on walls (and perhaps ceilings too), but he can't stand still on that. Now, if you're going to use water, you can do whatever crap you want, but gravity itself can't be changed- SMG has a whole gravity engine that supports whatever crap you want, while SM64DS is just applying standard fall-down gravity.

Figured I'd tell it for models, too: models from SMG have insane amounts of polygons, a normal DS is never, ever going to support that. If you try to render too many polygons, you'll get slowdowns and glitched scanlines.

I'm totally aware of that. That's why I put the gravity thingy under "most unlikely"

Good luck with your project. I have made my decision a while ago that I would port my SM64 hack over to SM64DS once I complete it (if SM64DSe could support my levels that is ).

Thank mahn.

About the models; that's what that is so fun about it. When you're finished with your model, you can use it for both SM64 and SM64DS

You dont need to use them. Here are ALL: http://www.mediafire.com/?gca0jsw2lbcqw05
If you want I can give you the 3D model of the whole planet, too.

Yes, having the model at my side, will help me alot. Instead of just watching movies and looking at screenshots.

I request a Super Mario 64 Hacking section. We have the DS version, why not old school?

This is already possible, although it's a pain in the ass.

Sorry I've not been updating you guys lately. I've been having some ME time >=D

I've been playing World of Warcraft, Watching horror movies, and eating candy and drinking energy drinks like crazy!

So, I will continue with SMG64DS tonight.... When everyone else is asleep >=D

I'm the kinda guy who stays up all night in the summer vacation.

Edit:
Update:

I got everything set to test the level: (I was making the textures compatible by resizing them, until I didn't get that "can cause crash" message or something)

I got absolutely NO message that said "This may cause the rom to crash" or something like that. Either way, when I start, it appears BLANK, as in a white screen.

Has it something to do with that I used the Castle Grounds level?

we CANT edit the castle groundsm because the game will crash^^

Right. Basically, replacing the model of any level with animated model textures (like the waterfall in Castle grounds), will crash the game. Because the texture animation data will reference materials that don't exist anymore.

I need to work on a 'Wipe level upon importing' option to remove all the objects and texture animations... as well as texture animation editing.

Oh yeah, about the object thingy. I deleted "Every single one" of the objects, and then place the entrances at the right position. Has that something to do with the crash?

It's a program you use under Linux and MacOSX to run programs written in C# (or any other .NET language) that are normally meant for Windows.

Ahhhh.... I see. That means I don't need to download this. Lucky me =)
