It works nice on non-touch devices too. You just have to get used to it. (it takes like a day to get used to it)
In fact, I had some issues with using my Windows 7 laptop after I used my Desk Windows 8 for a while.

Though, should you get used to it?

Minecraft, without a doubt.

I've played it since mid-2010, back in early alpha, this was the latest update at that point. I bought the game just three days after cows were added and you no longer crafted leather armor with wool…
And three years later I'm still playing it. What in my opinion makes this game so amazing is its huge community. Minecraft multiplayer is a lot of fun to play.
