You've already been editing them when you import a level. As I've already mentioned, to edit a specific BMD file, use the 'Import other model' button in the level editor and select a BMD file to import over.

You can only edit it using SM64DSe, if you want to edit an extracted one, use a program like NSMBe to import it over a file in SM64DS and use the editor to import over it.

This is caused by having two faces overlapping each other and facing (normals) the opposite direction. Remove any duplicated faces in that area and ensure there's only one pointing 'out'.

I would like edit the bmd files, textures models etc.

My plan is:

1. Extract bmd file
2. Edit (Textures, Models etc)
3. Import to SM64DS (Replace Original)
4. Play

Use SM64DSe for course editing.
And for playing you can use r4i 3ds (Wood Firmware)

Quick:

You can make models with SKetchUp, blender etc. Export as: dae or obj.
And the R4 can you buy on almost all flashcards online shops
And the Wood firmware can you download from the r4 homepage.

I just answered that. There is no program other than SM64DSe that'll let you edit BMD files. If you want to edit a BMD file it has to be within a SM64DS ROM. If you want to edit a BMD model that you've extracted, you need to use a tool like NSMBe to import it over an existing file within the SM64DS ROM and use 'Import other model'. This lets you edit the textures and import a new model.

If you've lost the original you can export to DAE or OBJ, edit that with a 3D modelling program and then import that.

This question has now been answered twice, any further posts by you with the same question will be deleted.

That's the point, you need an actual SM64DS ROM to edit.

I have a problem with import. When I import Courses more than 1 the second course doesn't work. White Screen.

I have edit the textures, but:

StarLand:Read the first post in this thread, only if that doesn't help should you be asking more of those questions.

I've seen that problem before, don't know why replacing them doesn't work, I think it's something to do with the format of texture; the original is uncompressed but the textures imported by the editor are compressed (for opaque ones). Uncompressed textures is something I've been wanting to add for a while, will maybe add it soon.

Big problem some models cannot imported into my rom. Also, I open SM64dse and open any course. Now I import my course. And close SM64Dse. After the close I'm open SM64DSe. And click on the imported course but:

You need to send me the model that causes this and details of all of the settings used; I can't do anything if I don't know how to replicate the problem.
