Another issue I have been having ever since I upgraded was that when ever I search for a file in any program using OpenFileDialog the whole program crashes

...if you need a functional Start Menu, try Classic Shell. It also has optional components to re-add some Explorer features as a new toolbar, as well as...some stuff for Internet Explorer...for some reason. Idk who actually wants to fix IE, but whatever. The point is, you don't have to install any of the components you don't want, so you can choose just the Start Menu ._.

Thanks, I'll have to try that out!

EDIT: I tried it out, and WOW, this is 100 times better than the normal start screen.

Ikr :V

Better than the Start ANYTHING.
And it's skinnable, too :3
(There's a Windows 10 skin there too...if, you know, for whatever reason, you actually like the look of Windows 10...)

I've tried several start menu programs, one nice one is Startisback. Even though you have to pay to use it after a while.

Generally just ignoring the start menu has worked for me.

Startisback works for Windows 10?? Geez, and I thought I was out of the loop when I learned about its little brother, Startisgone .-.
(No really, that actually exists .__. )

...says a lot about how badly it's been treated lately IMO D:

I like how I can have easy split Windows in Windows 10. When you put two windows side by side you can drag the middle bar to adjust the width of the two windows at the same time. Kinda like the metro apps used to work in 8.1, but now for desktop programs.

It's a little thing but it saves some time.

I mostly just stick to alt-tabbing, because resizing windows vertically can weird things out on some programs

Windows 10: There's a problem with this drive. Scan the drive now and fix it.

Alright, sure.

This is happening almost every time I put my SD card in my computer, because I guess it keeps track of when you don't properly eject it x_x

Win7 does that after a while of using a drive without checking it, but I just dismiss it every time

I can dismiss it in Windows 10 as well, it's strange TheKoopaKingdom can't.

I can dismiss it fine, I couldn't get a screenshot of the first message.

I just ignore it, like most windows that pop up whenever I insert a flash drive into there. Became second nature for me.

What were they thinking? How could that be considered acceptable?
"Oh, something happened, good luck fixing it, because we aren't say what went wrong, we think you're too dumb to fix it your self anyway".

Oh, wait that was photoshop?

EDIT: Did some research, and I found out it's not photoshop, are you serious Microsoft?

This sounds an awful lot like a placeholder window that they forgot to change.

Idk what that thing is, all I know is that it's real, and that it protects people from the horrific mess that is Windows 10 .-.

Anywaves...um...anyone here interested in trying to help make the Windows 10 taskbar work without Visual Styles? If so, we could use some help over here... ._.
