That reminds me, our religious studies teacher can somehow never correctly link his laptop to the projector and I always have to help him out. Most of the time the projector is just set to the wrong source and actually selecting the computer does the job.

Primary school hates it when you don't fit your mold nicely. They rage hard. Their objective is to obliterate any personality in students.

Command Prompt was blocked from normal access at my middle school. However, we also had Python on all the computers, so we could use os.system() to run any commands we wanted to. Another weird thing is that both Chrome and Powershell eventually got installed on the computers for some reason. And Powershell was easily accessible, no attempt to block it. I was worried that they would take away Chrome, so I just used Powershell to make a backup copy directly on the C: drive (no security at all).

My CS teachers often used software called LanSchool, which would let them see what you're doing and force-show their screen over yours, blocking all input. It was incredibly annoying, as I could be working on something and then they'd force me to look at their screen. Luckily, thanks to Python again, I could make direct calls to the Windows GUI API and close the window.

Ha, in 6th grade I once renamed a folder to "Mario and Luigi" and I almost got in huge trouble for it. I've also messed around with various documents people would save, heh.

Also, I one time fucked up a computer with sticky keys and the like, also in 6th grade. I was never caught. :>

My school thought it would be an ingenious idea to waste a huge part of the budget on macs a few years back, and the things are horrible as they are incredibly slow. Also for some reason in the middle of the school year the network accounts stopped working (like most schools things are set up on network accounts so you can access them from any computer in the school) so no one could sign in, after a little snooping I discovered they accidentally deleted all of the network accounts and were to lazy to remake them so now everyone just has to use guest accounts.

Competence at its best!

Having to use Macs would annoy me anyway because of their crapo keyboard. I don't know if that's the case for the QWERTY layout, but here Apple couldn't be assed to use the standard AZERTY layout, no no that'd have been too easy. They had to shuffle all the punctuation/etc characters and hide the 'less nice' ones, forcing programmers to remember absurd key combinations to type [ or \ or whatever.

Actually, school computers tend to be slow as fuck. I have a Mac PC and it's much faster than any of the Windows PCs at my school.

Also, Mac PCs are better than Windows PCs.

Yeah, the mac keyboards are horrible, the worst part is using them in our computer programming class because they sometimes refuse to work. Its funny, we are learning python3 in that class but now it changed to 2, its weird the version we learn fluctuates from time to time, and often times idle crashes or just plain doesn't start at all on these macs. Whats even more hilarious is that on the course selection sheet it still says we are learning java, truly this is class planning form legends.

You're forgetting the utterly horrible Command key. Anyone who's used a Windows/Linux keyboard will be using CTRL for copy/pasting shortcuts and crap but NOPE LET'S HAVE IT BE A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT KEY HURP DURP :DDDDDDDDDDDD

I recently worked at a Company, that uses Macs.
I'm using an Apple Keyboard, with my Surface Pro 3, and the Boss kept pressing CMD + V, and freaked out, that nothing was Pasted.

I said, "It's Windows, so use CTRL".
He said, "Well, I'll let you do it, then".

lol. True. I remember once when I was like in 3rd-4th grade that I once wanted to store some image files in a folder, and then got scolded from the teacher that what I was doing was not right. Then, the teacher being a complete bitch deletes my files. dafuq. Of course, my dad then got pissed, and complained at the office, but the school never cooperated, and I never got my files back.

Copy/pasting crap is complicated, Mac lacks programs, you can't use something that isn't verified by Apple, or else it'll blow up in your face with an error message, and if it weren't bad enough, the computer is over $1,099!

I could buy an ASUS ROG laptop for the same price. It offers more than Mac, and best of all, no restrictions to what you can download (like cracked EXE apps) on Mac.

Control = command. Just because you're not used to something doesn't make it bad. ;)

Mac lacks programs

Because more people make stuff for Windows, probably because of money and the majority of the general public on Windows over Mac.

Security. Besides, Microsoft is starting to do the same kind of thing.

There might be a reason for that, wouldn't you think?

Just my opinion.

Thats a nice laptop. a 960M in there makes it really sexy :)
or you know, you can build a pc for the same price with better specs, but if you want a laptop I guess you cant make it urself. Id like some time for them to actually let us make laptops ourselves so we dont have to pay companies so much for one

DAMN i GOT NINJA'D
WELL SHIT!

I don't think so at all. $1000 for a shit specced laptop where you can get the same specs onto a $500 asus/acer laptop is disgusting

There is this one computer lab at my school where when you log in and the desktop screen is about to appear, the computer restarts for whatever fucking reason. I mean, seriously? It's extremely inconvenient to log in, wait, and then wait, log in again, and wait again. >_<

If atleast Macs were something special, but no. They're fucking plain PCs. You can even run Windows on them. You can get an equivalent setup for less money. They have no reason to be so expensive other than the brand.

Also, 'security'? What security? Mostly the big companies doing that so they can reject things like emulators and all the legal grey area software, and keep their users in the 'right' way where everyone is a consuming sheep. Because we all know that the legal grey area is also a fun area.

Security doesn't require making developers pay so they can be approved. Security relies on the end user not being an idiot, and on software being coded properly so it can't be exploited.

(also ffs Tierage will you stop going after everybody, do you think you're better than everyone or something?)

Ban me if you want, but you're always doing the exact same thing. You're kind of an asshole to people (even if they are stupid) but if anyone else does one thing that's a fraction off they deserve to be beaten to the ground.

Also, notice how I said it was just my opinion... At least I'm not making a short lowercase line-breaking post to shit on somebody.
