Plus people actually care about SM64 hacking.

Posted by Luigi I love how you removed 50% of your post. Also yeah, a few guys have been making custom levels recently, but they are not SMG2.5 quality. |

the mario 64 hacking scene has noticed that and we are laughing our ass off, but what a certain person can do with mario 64 is a whole lot more than mario galaxy. I mean we are now able to remove everything and make a whole new game out of it.
but about quality you are very very right, with people like brodute and his random level design doesn't make the image of it better. what mario galaxy 2.5 had was level design and that was very important! |

Posted by Silver That doesn't matter right now. What we want to do is form an SMG hacking scene, and the people making new levels are bringing us closer to that. |

Yep.
And people trying to revive it now, doesn't really help anything... ____________________ a |

Posted by Silver Messiaen was an unknown during Acmlm Board 2 & 3 incarnations which is when the most discoveries were made. The fact that he is well known now is due to the work he has put out since announcing his hack. That's not to discredit him at all, but you couldn't have guessed back in 2006-2010 that Messiaen was capable of making such a hack and creating the level importer because nobody knew who he was. |

Posted by Luigi Are you sure? These people trying to revive the project, failure or success, is helping to grow the SMG hacking scene either way. Also, I thought there was a forum rule against bashing other people or something like that. |

>bashing
I think you want to look up your definition of that, and mine. It's obviously different. Also, 2.5 wasn't growing the scene, either. ____________________ a |

I recommend you change the name. It would sound silly that a project died then is all of sudden being created by a new team with the same stuff. As Glem said, he kinda owns it in a way. |

Posted by Luigi From Google: bash·ing ˈbaSHiNG/Submit nouninformal 1. violent physical assault. Well obviously we can't physically beat someone over the Internet, so it isn't that definition. From Dictionary . Reference . com : bash·ing [bash-ing] noun 3. a. unprovoked physical assaults against members of a specified group b. verbal abuse, as of a group or a nation Verbal abuse, well that's interesting. What does that mean though? From Google: verbal abuse Verbal abuse is the excessive use of language to undermine someone's dignity and security through insults or humiliation, in a sudden or repeated manner. Posted by Silver Posted by Luigi Posted by Silver I dunno, sounds a bit like verbal abuse to me. A bit lighter kind of verbal abuse, but telling someone that spending their time and energy to attempt to revive a project he apparently cares about is silly should still count nonetheless. I could have said the original project was "silly" and lots of guys would be flaming me more than a piece of wood in a gas fire, but look where it is now. No offense to anyone of course, just throwing out some sort of analogy to better explain this. And you might object and say that the original definition only applied to groups of people, and I can tell you that he's representing his group of "friends" so it should count. Sorry for bumping this, but I felt the need to prove that what was occuring in this thread was indeed bashing, and against the rules (I think). Not only that, but I think it's a bit... ignorant (i dont think it's the right word, but youll see what i mean) to state that SMG 2.5 was not growing the SMG hacking scene... I mean, it brought along Whitehole, and that surely helped people in making custom galaxies. And, the project helped open attention not just torward Mario Galaxy hacking, but torwards Mario hacking in general. Granted, not a lot is coming out of that attention, but more people are aware of this at least. |

Yeah i'm sorry I was "verbally abusive" in those posts. But it looks as if I was right, I haven't seen a single update ever since this guy declared a revive. |
