Here in the states (not sure if it applies elsewhere, let me know!) we have a little something called a GPA (Grade Point Average) that is used to determine our grade leaving high school.
More info: https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://www.campusexplorer.com/college-advice-tips/BAD94AE7/What-is-a-GPA/&ved=2ahUKEwjh58Tv9vnaAhWQiOAKHdl2AdAQFjAgegQICRAB&usg=AOvVaw2zeRfJaX55-G6YUtWrqyGe

There are two types: weighted and unweighted. My weighted is 4.375 and unweighted is 4.000.

Post yours if you want!

Don’t think they have it i other countries but most of my potential grades are predicted around a 4 which is a passed GCSE. I’m apparently working at a high level 5/low level 6 in English though. :)

That said, I’m doing only 4 GCSEs and I only care about two of them.

Germany has a scale from 1.0 (best) to 6.0 (worst). You need an average of 4.0 or less to pass to the next year and to get your graduation.

I never cared much about my grades at the end considering you don't need any good grades to study computer science here. Yet I managed to get a 2.1 which is actually kinda good :)

Brazil currently uses a scale from 0 (worst) to 10 (best). Elementary school required 5 or higher to pass, while high school (the one I went to, not all ones) required 6. College would probably require 7, not there yet to confirm it though. I don't think there's an universal way to average these grades here.

For Quarter 3, I got a 3.243 GPA. I guess that's good? I mean, it's an B+/A-, but still not enough to get accepted into the college I want to get into (MIT). Hopefully the remainder of the quarter/the next 3 upcoming years, I can get anything (above) a 3.5. Then again, I am in 9th grade, so I have only 3 years left.

Take some Honors and AP classes if you can, those will help you with that.

Note that the more years pass by you the less you can change your grade with each subsequent year, so do well early and keep it till the last day!

I'm in 2 honor classes so that's good. Unfortunately, we don't have AP's this year.
