Okay, so maybe switched spread out that will change certain colors of wires, with several different kinds (yellow, red, white, black, maybe?)
So maybe one switch will get both yellow and black, but another only white? And maybe don't label them to make it harder! (You can tell by flipping them, but you can't tell from far away)

Think of how the level should play FIRST, then choose how to construct it.

The platforming we need is the old-school, linear platforming, like SM3DL. I would say that gravity could also sneak its way in here. The digital theme still needs to remain in tact simultaneously. The possibilties worh plugs and outlets are an example.

What we could do with wires is linear platforming with gravity. But it should done in an interesting way so that the cylindrical/elliptical/oval planet concept doesn't become overused a lot.

Well someone is gonna need to make a new design since fnar and MC are gone. I'm assuming polari will want to take this one.

Honestly, I'm not sure. Maybe. I guess all I'll need to do is read all these ideas and tweak them...A lot.

lolyes, I think it would be better to just start from scratch and use ideas like anything else - as a basis, since even glem didn't like the design.

Anything is that it was too short. One of the pictures that Glem posted in the concept art was a blue motherboard. The blue area shocks you and you have to platform on the components. We can get really creative in there. This is Mario, we can have the some of the components being mushrooms for a minu Humongous Fungus. Of course, no mushroom-shaped components have to be used here but what I'm saying is that we can make our very own components.

Well, the thing is I'm worried about that the way this is going is a duplicate of Fearsome Factory, which is a bad thing, since all the galaxies are supposed to be different.

Na, don't worry. I'm going to try to make it different.

There are SO many possibilities here guys! Firstly, I like the idea of a bunch of references to nintendo consoles, seems like something Nintendo might do (but let's not go overboard). I like the idea of code in the background as well, so long as there's not too much of it so it doesn't get distracting. I also like the idea of everything looking like cyberspace. Anyway, much like with Fast Food I'm just going to try to name every idea I can come up with, excluding game console references:

- Platforming across a microchip, kinda like this: [image]. Touching the blue will electrocute you (we'll have warning signs to make it clear) and you need to platform across parts that are sticking out.

- Lots of switches, we could have switch "puzzles" on circuits where you need to flip all the switches on a given circuit to activate a launch star.

- Tube planet like space storm, except you're traveling around an extension cord

- Lots of [?] blue question mark panels, they would make a lot of sense here and could be used for similar puzzles as mentioned in my second point.

- Imagine a platforming obstacle course like this: [image]

- Instead of launch stars, cables could connect planets, much like the caterpillar in Gusty Garden.

- Jumping on 1s and 0s

- Lots of those enemies that send out electric shockwaves too!

Can't think of much more for now but there's SO much that can be done here, don't pass it up!

•The switch puzzles could not just activate Launch Stars, but also lights in extremely dark areas.

•The extension could platforming could not just be on the exterior like in Space Storm, but also inverted; in the interior. However, I don't know if "revolving" platforming in interiors will screw up the camera.

•"Jumping on 1's and 0's"? What about 1 and 0 planets also? Like I auggeste before, maybe even some SMG code.

>Jumping on numbers
Nope. We're getting way too uncreative. The most anything would be is in the background, which will probably be the same one used in Atomic Clock, that greenish one.

No offense, but having 0 and 1 planets would be really boring. And SMG code...? That'd be the lamest thing ever.

Or perhaps, you could completely disregard nearly everything before and make a level somewhat like those Sonic videos posted, with lasers or electric enemies/obstacles representing firewalls, antiviruses...etc.

Of course, this could be in the middle of the level (Launch Star into digital?) or as a Star 2.

If we go that route, then we could use wall-jumping with desktop icons. There could also be a block that is spinning and blocking your access. Hitting a switch would lift the block and give you access. (See what I did there?)

I'm not all for the desktop-icon wall jumping part, I think we can do some stuff that is much more creative.

Gah, I'm running out of ideas for this galaxy. The last thing I can think of is what I posted lately in the Concept Art thread. Platforming on transformers and going from transformer to transformer via cables. But I guess that is uncreative too.

Then don't try to give ideas :P
I think that we could also have a secondary fire theme, since intense electron flow can also set things on fire, and it also makes sense. Though I don't know how much the Fire Flower itself would fit.

I personally think we should not use fire here since there is Aquaflame, Flarefrost, Whitehot, and Gliding Inferno among others. We could possibly just have a ceramic electric heater. Well actually, ceramic heaters could be hazards in the level.

Lets stick with electricity. But some metal plates can burn Mario.

I'm thinking this could be somewhat metallic, so we could have a puzzle or something where you trigger something, possibly with defeating enemies, and a circuit of electricity of something turns another thing on, so it's all connected. Think those pipes that lit up in the comet observatory, only flat and embedded in metal. That's what I'm imagining.

Remember this? I think it could be a good concept, perhaps using switches instead though. Plus some of that computer chip platforming of Glem's.

Actually that should be a seperate star.

Seriously though, can we just give the consoles and whatnot just a passing background cameo? Making them the center of the level seems kinda obnoxious to me. I don't even think Nintendo would do that.

I think we can have wires act like vines here to make a connection to other parts of the level. I think this idea hasn't been suggested before, but I don't know for sure if it has already been suggested
