A copy of Fleet Glide? I thought that since it's after the typical Bowser final boss level, it would be focusing on just lava and caves. Cause it's too close to End of The Universe, so it's collapsing or something.
Anyway, the original point of EotU was to make it an wasteland of dark matter and black holes, right?
It should be unlike any Bowser level: Little to no enemies , lots of black holes, possibly screwy gravity, dark matter flowing everywhere, obsidian paths etc.
Possibly like Whitehot with dark matter, gravity and black holes instead of lava, except that there's many small, black hole ridden planets instead of one big one. For extra effect, some broken airships, Starshrooms, some pieces of Megahammer, etc. could be sunken into the dark matter as platforms.

There's always a light at the end of the tunnel. Of course, it's usually an oncoming express train.

Slow and steady gets you trampled by the other guys.

I think that this galaxy was meant to be a bright, fun, colourful galaxy instead of the typical boring dirt, dirt, lava oh look more dirt Rock Mario galaxy that normally ensues in Galaxy 2.
I agree with SSL, crash course is a must. But it should be easier than Melty Monster. I died so many times my first playthrough -.-

Melty Monster was in World 6...so yeah, this has to be much easier.

Rock, music. Rock music. Rock & Roll. One of the reasons why it was accepted. :P

There should be various gigantic instruments floating around near the edges. One star should be just rolling levels, going through/over/on the instruments. Like, the saxophone being a gigantic booster ramp, the violin having 4 thin paths to choose to roll on, like a puzzle, the keyboard, drums, cymbals is obvious, etc.
Are all those instruments possible?

He didn't really say anything about it after he started the thread...
But...
"This is another galaxy I'll be designing, but that certainly doesn't mean you can't post all your ideas here!
This galaxy's gonna look a lot like cosmic cove, with a gigantic, sunken satellite in the middle of a lake in its center. Some of the satellite's energy has electrified the water, and amps and other crackling hazards can be found beneath the surface."
Well, it'll probably be something like Cosmic Cove...The two lakes idea fits well there too...

Yes, erm...try searching for it on google. I'm too lazy. >.> Sorry bout that.
Anyway, this shouldn't have any secondary themes, just an indoor Bowser factory with many traps and puzzles. I mentioned the Mining Facility because of its atmosphere (I liked the indoors yet free feel of the background), the mine cart guiding and the traps.

They would go well with the blue flame...
Huh. A trap could be a dark gate, but with a horde of Swoopers roosting right behind it, so that Mario has to run back a bit and disperse them a bit before advancing.

That reminds me of the Dull Bones attack from Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, in Hooktail's castle. Pretty much, skeletons of koopas are all over the dungeon, then a Red Bones rises up, and resurrects all the skeletons.
Somebody mentioned something about a "Bone Bro." or something like that, like a skeleton of a Boomerang Bro. When that kind of thng is possible...
It would be interesting to have an eerily empty section.

The first star gets the graveyard section of the theme. The second star should have a ton of various puzzles. Like, a room with many doors and many keys. Signboards hint towards the right one, which unlocks the door forward. The others release a roomful of Bomb Boos.
Or the TeresaChief with the star in it. Like, (as the final puzzle) the Star Boo is in a mostly enclosed room with several other Boos. 1 light source.
So, is this galaxy going to have the Bulb Berry & Yoshi, the Boo Shroom, both, or none?

Great! I especially loved the part from 00:40 to 00:55. I liked the emptiness/barren, ominousness and danger implied in the song, which perfectly suits Dry Boneyard, or Edge of the Universe.

Maybe the level could start off with a quick section on one of the planets being extracted from, with low gravity key searching, then a warp pipe into a long section along/inside one of the tubes, with the main part of the screwy gravity, then a brief section on the main processor with more-than-usual gravity, before the boss.
If this kind of thing is possible.

Why should there be obsidian? I thought you needed lava to make that stuff 0.o

Well, it could be the crushed and compacted remains of something sunk into the dark matter...or chunks or solid dark matter. Umm. o.0
Anyway, maybe this level doesn't really need much variation at all...it could be just a large collection of floating remains of planets, covered with dark matter, riddled with black holes and dotted with obsidian. Best to have VERY little enemies too.

I didn't know this was a gravity galaxy :o
Anyway, the galaxy's supposed to be constantly switching between underground and aboveground, with obstacles blocking the paths so that Mario has to switch paths to remove it.
As well as gravity, there could be a lot of pipes, maybe some pipe puzzles too.

So, pipes, obstacles, switches/triggers, mazes, vines...
It would be interesting to have the two sections contrast, like light and dark, clean and polluted. Like the Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword's "Ancient Cistern" dungeon. Basically, it was a water themed temple, a beautiful enclosed reservoir with many puzzles at first glance, but after a bit of platforming, the player has to journey through the lower level: a dimly lit wasteland full of toxic sludge and undead enemies.

Maybe there could be a foggy maze with some signboards giving tips, and some giving misleading tips, being shown as different by a small evil laugh when you aproach it...?

Kill board as a boss? o.0 o.0 o.0
And by arena, you meant the "boss", right? Hmmm...would a custom "boss" like that work with a defeat sensor or something?
Anyway, shouldn't this galaxy be a huge completely non-linear landscape? It would fully make use of the fog, as well as make a lot more evil traps possible.

Possibly a hidden/unopened minigame or something.
Anyway, there could be minigame stands set up so Mario can earns coins, with a "proximity speech bubble" NPC at each entrance. Like, a cannon minigame with a few coins, and possibly a 1up in the air to grab.

Remember, the whole point of the minigames are to earn coins. Best to avoid dying, because Mario'd lose all coins. That'd be really annoying.
Hmmm, possibly a timing minigame with a switch...I dunno...

...wasn't this a Fluzzard level? But I guess Flying Mario could be better used here than most other galaxies...never mind.
Anyway, as this is Gliding INFERNO, it would be interesting for a section to be through a lava tunnel (with lava) , then into the heart of a huge volcano. Then a bit of avoiding lava enemies, and a section up the shaft of the volcano, which explodes after Mario and Fluzzard make it through.
