Yeah, that's why it's hard to make a Red Star level that looks good and has any difficulty.
(Gliding Inferno would've been perfect for it ;_;)

The airborne hazards have to be really dense though, so dodging them completely isn't that easy.

IMO it's a viable idea, but only if the enemies come in specific waves (e.g. 3 Magikoopas + 3 Boomerang Bros.)instead of them all swarming Mario at the same time. That'd be impossible.
Maybe as a miniboss somewhere, but meh. Maybe not.

Something like a slightly larger version of those 3 Hammer/Boomerang Bros. clusters in Galaxy Generator. Just a couple enemies blocking the way, nothing more :/

Hmm, at first I thought this was a really stupid idea that won't get anywhere.
But maybe if this doesn't get to be a galaxy, we could work some parts into another one...hmmm...
Well, anyway, you've gotta do better than a few random 2D sketches of simple platforms if you wanna make this a full design.

Definitely not. Just place a few airships and random crap around the arena as platforms (adds extra challenge since it's a more circuitous route).
Anyway, about Giga Lakitu, I'm still not sure if Yoshi should be here :/

;_; I can't play competitive since I don't have any legal games.
I can only play Pokemon Online if I wanna play multiplayer. :(

Well, anyway, I like to use Gengar (Shadow Ball, Focus Blast, Hidden Power Fire, Destiny Bond). Although it gets 2HKOed a lot (Focus Sash)(pretty much everything is at lvl 100 since you can set levels) It's moves are devastating against a staller/defensive team.

Also....Espeon. :) Magic Bounce ftw. Spikes, Stealth Rock, statuses, all bounced back. I love to watch the reaction when I switch it in against spikers :P

Another one of my favorites: Mamoswine. Not gonna win any beauty contests, but this thing can priority OHKO a Dragon/Flying type with Ice Shard and its humungous attack.

Jirachi is a great troller if you have good luck. Serene Grace + Iron Head/Body Slam gets you 60% chance of flinching/paralysis. Awesome when you get 5 moves in a row due to flinching <3

Strange one here: Whimsicott. Yeah. What makes it good is Prankster + Encore. Switch this in, people think it's a joke and start buffing up. Priority Encore locks it into buffing up. :3 Then SubSeed ftw.

Blah. Nobody plays PO anyway.

A lot of enemies would look interesting, but one strategically placed Hammer Bro. can be harder to avoid than a lot of ones bunched together. Trios of enemies guarding ships, perhaps?
Anyway, if somebody comes up with a design for this, it'll have a particularly easy way into the project since, y'know, Fortress of Illusion is rubbish.
Hmm, airship levels are really generic though...A flagship would be interesting.

(I mean, this is galaxy :3)

Perhaps one of the "ancient" monuments could be a standing circle of stones. The city would cover the circle in the "present", with only a couple still standing as relics and some rubble piles.
