Here goes some brainstorming from the IRC channel.

On this Galaxy, the main planet could be based on a compass, in which each cardinal direction would represent a season, relative to the lesser planet they were pointing at. As a transportation method, the Sling Star might feel a bit more appropriate. On this setting, there could be a silver star hunt, and still on the center planet, there could be a structure the player would have to climb to ultimately reach the fifth one, which could resemble both the Stonehenge in design and the Buoy Base tower in platforming.

What could also be done is have objects with two opposite surfaces Mario could walk on - each with an unique season too, and the gravity inversion gimmicks from Flipsville to switch between those sides. For this specific scenario, maybe a bunny chase mission might be set up, but how it would handle the gravity issue still remains a mystery.

Here are two random concepts I thought of while doodling with the Wacom Bamboo.

Based on the way a CD works, but not identically, maybe the player could land on a CD-shaped platform, which would rotate around a column while moving upward at the same time. The tricky part is combining a platform in motion with electrified laser grids.

Also, using computer fans might be an alternative way of moving Mario around, either in a similar way as the tornadoes on Melty Monster work, or simply while he is using a Cloud Flower. Actually, I don't recall the player ever having to move toward a working fan on the latter occurence (moving against the wind).

Here goes an experiment on drawing tridimensional objects and setting up patterns and lighting, straight on Paint Tool SAI. This is my version of HP9's satellite on his Sunken Sattelite Galaxy design, incomplete due to inavailability of time.

Edit: Instead of a Silver Star quest, the Stonehenge-ish tower could be partially destroyed, and the player would have to complete missions on each season area to unlock higher areas on the structure and visit other separate planets, in order to get to the very top. Maybe a sign could be left on the starting spot and a Star Bunny freed on the topmost chamber.

Given that Bowser will be granted full control of the new universe, then the sole reason Peach was kidnapped was to actually lure Mario into the new realm, in the hopes he could be trapped, and thus granting Bowser a lifetime of vengeance. In case Bowser needs another reason to gather the Power Stars other than getting big, since his priority now is the gravigen, it could be that the Stars' energy can partly counter its effect, which makes it easier to manipulate, at the same time it prevents even Bowser and his minions from being crushed by the massive amount of matter which was gathered.

A little bit of everything, and a whole lot of nothing.

Long story short, I got into college, joined another site's staff, and I still do some tablet drawing every now and then!

It's Runouw.com. They have a couple of Flash games with built-in level designers. There's still a handful of people making some neat stuff with those.

Another tidbit is that new consoles are real pricey down here. So, if there's a community-based game out there, chances are I've played it at some point.

Same old stuff, I'm afraid. Still studying, still doing increasingly random things with my spare time, and generally having fun.
