Hey everyone!
I'm LordFalcon, ex-old school member of SMG2.5, retired due to alternative time-spending activity excess. I'm currently active on Runouw Forums and checking Teeworlds/SMG2.5 pages once every while. With summer vacations going on, I'm quite likely to be active around here, mostly to keep myself informed of what the team has accomplished so far.

Wait, what?
This was made for another forum (can't remember its owner, probably zm123bro) which actually had this name. I just send it to Mega-Mario as an example. xD

Once upon a time Degolegodyl never had to cope with snow or cold on December. And neither do I, even if they dump on my neighborhood an amount of ice similar to what Wenham Lake Ice Co. has produced on all of its history.

Even so, there's a dire cost for that. 40°C almost every day, or 104°F. Choose your favorite.

I was looking randomly at the forum index when I suddenly noticed this:

So HRE is back now.

Guess I really need to stop not showing up.

I'm not really back. I'm just allowed to procrastinate right now because of carnival break next week. After that, I'll slowly but surely start to study like a zombie.

EDIT: Testing image randomizer.

You don't know what you're missing. It won't be long before we take over the world.

Or die trying.

Looks nice :P

So no more randomised banners?

First off.
Credit goes to =RobDuenas, original creator of the background. I merely assembled all of the other stuff together, like the Mario, the text and some lighting tweaks.

Also, not necessarily this needs to be the only banner. Someone else may step up with a cool result as well, or I might try to make another quick banner with that same size.

Aaand... I was not really happy with this final result. Probably because there wasn't much stuff I could or needed to change.

Hmm...

So there is an opposition that is based on the presence or absence of storm. Based on the classic clash of opposites on galaxies like Shiverburn, we could actually have sources of power being used or suppressed in order to maintain a constant state of calamity, as a Power Star's power being used to create a safe spot within the chaos, an eye of the storm, or a mechanical device controlled in order to create the storm in first place. Based on this context, the player might need to use mechanisms to amplify the energy field generated by a Star instead of removing it beforehand. Such devices might include any form of producing or redirecting energy, either by activating any sort of trigger or being able to capture or destroy storm clouds and King Lakitu himself, who might be the one who's actually thwarting his opponents' plots.

On a highly unlikely scenario, the Bulb Yoshi power-up could be used not only to allow the player to see further into the clouds, but it could also prevent Mario from taking any damage he might be subject to, such as blindly running into enemies or death traps such as spikes and bottomless pits.

Posted on 03-07-13 05:07 AM, in PlayStation 4 (rev. 2 of 03-07-13 05:08 AM) Link | #17149
Possibly a bit like its predecessor, the PS4 might be severely overpriced not necessarily because of its hardware upgrades, but that most hardcore gamers who would want a full-scale "graphical experience" would need to buy (probably OLED) 4K screens. Since neither technologies are popular in the market, the only way out right now would be to get their hands on oversized and expensive TV's, and November 2013 isn't going to change that.

Also, there's also the issue that selling a product worldwide does not necessarily mean equal price tags for everyone. For instance, when the PS3 was released for US$ 600, there were brazilian retailer that had the nerve of selling it for $2000-3000, the same price that could be expected from 42' Plasma/LCD screens by then. Hopefully, if Sony manages to lower the release price, it won't be as unreal as it was on '06. As a comparison, the highest price tag I've seen on a Wii U Deluxe set over here was slightly above $1000, the 3DS XL's average price is $500, and the Vita's highest price tag is $720.

Based on the likelihood of the Xbox "Delta"(Microsoft still hasn't used Dualshock's triangle)'s dev team to have a similar attiude toward graphics, Sony should focus on a solid selection of exclusives, that albeit small, can hold back its competitors until a considerable game list is devised. By the time both "new-gen" consoles are released, the Wii U will, along with the third-party fever game selection, have a couple of fresh remakes as it did on the Wii (Wind Waker, for instance), which should be enough for most regular gamers on short terms. However, even though Smash Bros. might be hitting the last year of development and Monolith Soft is already on a brand new RPG project, among several other projects that will eventually arrive, my greatest concern is the apparent lack of exclusive franchises that have been along with Nintendo for some time. So we've got Zelda, NSMBU, Game and Wario and Smash Bros. Meanwhile, Kid Icarus, a 3D platforming Mario title, Kirby, Metroid, F-Zero, Mario Kart and Star Fox are still missing. And some people might prefer that Sonic doesn't stick to the karts. He doesn't need them, after all.

On this yet uncertain scenario, Sony might still have chances to achieve a preemptive strike on exclusives. They will never win this match if they have to rely simply on the amount of titles available on Day One, as there is neither retro-compatibility for the accounts (all achievements will likely be gone), nor availability of downloaded games from the soon-to-be former PSN.

Not necessarily.

While dealing with "digital circuits", we could pretty much use anything that refers to a virtual or an artificial atmosphere. Ranging from the classic circuit boards to Matrix references, such as the Construct.

This specific stage from FF13 also reminds me a little of this galaxy:

Also, the picture that Glem has posted on Page 4 might not only be an obstacle course, but it could also be turned into a background - a plain surface resembling an endless urban area when seen from way above - pretty much what actual cities might look like.

As a wallpaper, I'm not sure, but since it was created from scratch, it's pretty nice!

Inspired by Rydia's Lair logo test, I decided to start over with my previous Kuribo banner and try something new. Turns out to be a bit better than I expected.
