Now that we have the technology to add new galaxies and possibly new worlds, will you still be replacing galaxies in NMG? Status: It was really, really fun, guys - thanks for the ride!

Oh wow. You just keep banging out these awesome hacks!
I'll give this one a try pretty soon. Status: It was really, really fun, guys - thanks for the ride!

Using SunakazeKun's brand new galaxy-producing technology, I present Planet Plains Galaxy as it's own separate galaxy in World 1, without replacing Flip-Swap! Yes, that means that you can get 246 stars.
BUGS: • Planet Plains won't show up on the Grand World Map or the Star List. This is intentional, as it crashes the game if you don't remove it completely. Download Status: It was really, really fun, guys - thanks for the ride!

Posted by Rainbow Mario I replaced SMG2_galaxy08_strm.ast and SMG2_boss08b_strm.ast I also just updated the download with the music bugs fixed and a comet medal added to the level (it didn't originally have one). Status: It was really, really fun, guys - thanks for the ride!

Posted by planetaryplayer Check the star list to see if it freezes. If it doesn't, than it's probably an issue with the map itself. You can try and go to the world without using the grand world map and see if that freezes as well. Status: It was really, really fun, guys - thanks for the ride!

What happens when you place a galaxy on the Grand World Map? Status: It was really, really fun, guys - thanks for the ride!

Posted by Rainbow Mario Yeah, I was wondering what would happen if you did. I think SunakazeKun is gonna test it soon anyway. Status: It was really, really fun, guys - thanks for the ride!

The World Map files have inconsistent organization.
In WorldMap01, three files are on the root instead of the ActorInfo. In WorldMap02, Two files are on the root. In WorldMap03, ALL the files are in ActorInfo. Some of the World Maps have SpaceParts.bcsv and others don't. Status: It was really, really fun, guys - thanks for the ride!

Posted by StapleButter I'm not sure how relevant that is when considering forum placement- I'd say go with the one that is more popular, not the one that theoretically should be popular but really isn't. Status: It was really, really fun, guys - thanks for the ride!

Genetic modification of humans is being pioneered to great opposition around the globe. However, it continues unimpeded, being funded by key wealthy figures and organizations. Status: It was really, really fun, guys - thanks for the ride!

Posted by planetaryplayer Adding the level itself isn't nearly as hard as getting the game to recognize a new world at all. Backgrounds and levels are as simple as a few objects in Whitehole. Status: It was really, really fun, guys - thanks for the ride!

I wasn't meaning to start one of these meaningless conflicts again, blurgh.
My point was that there's a lot more activity in the SMG forums, regardless of whether more has been done or not (which, um, it sort of has) - every single thread in General SM64DS Hacking is either "Old" or closed, and there's only really Super Mario Sunshine DS and all of those model hacks that Russmars is doing. Another Super Mario 3D was awesome, but that was still only Skawo doing it alone, not really a community. We have Neo Mario Galaxy going at a good pace, and new things being discovered and documented daily in the SMG section. I'd say that, at the very least, warrants being higher in the forum listings. Wow, it seems like a lot of those are unused comet effects. Has anyone tried to add entirely new comets to the game yet? Status: It was really, really fun, guys - thanks for the ride!

I'm pretty sure the no-spin area was known about before and proposed as a possible custom comet effect, even if that wasn't what it was originally.
Regardless of what they were, it's an interesting way that they could be used in level creation. Status: It was really, really fun, guys - thanks for the ride!

No, you're actually right, that's what I was thinking of. But still, that could be used for the same purpose in an even easier way. Status: It was really, really fun, guys - thanks for the ride!
