Actually .3ds or .cia support was never implemented. CoinKiller works only with the decrypted romfs atm.
But when Citra runs NSMB2 at a acceptable speed we should think about that.

Also smea got romfs replacing working with NSMB2. Now we need a proper UI and saving.

I also worked on a NSMB hack, called New Super Mario Land, but I droped the project and will port all the cool stuff to NSMB2. Less restrictions, more possibilities, blarg.

We just have to wait for CoinKiller beeing ready :)

Why should we upload entire romfs files? Can't we use pathes (xdelta) for bigger projects and single files for smaller projects (just upload the course files for example)?

Also the romfs is almost 350 mb. People with bad internet wouln't apreciate that

I dont't think using 1-1 Lighting for everything is good.

For example why should a Podobo have Grasslannd lighting?

Actially I already did almost all overworld ones.
We need:
  • Castle Sprites
  • Firt frame of Goomba and Red/Green Koopa Troopa
  • Everything else that isn't in here

To make a screenshot of the first frame, place the things you want to caputure on the right side of a warp pipe in 1-1. While going out of it the sprites are frozen and you can make a nice screenshot.

Are you talking about the DLC levels?

The level files are not included in the romfs. They are stored on your SD card, but are encrypted.
I don't know if someone managed to decrypt them yet, but if you got the level files, there is no problem to edit them.
But then you had to re-encrypt them to play. Thats defenetly too much effort for just a few levels.

But I have to admit creating 3-Level-Packs would be cool, especially for those who don't want to create a whole hack.

You can move the Special exit controller beside the Entrance. So you can instantly warp into the underground area of 1-1 and then go trough the pipe up.

It's not an entrance. It's a sprite. (Just move that sprite 22 in that abysm where you can get to area 3 near the entrance)

Namely:

  • Giant Dry Bones
  • Koopa Paratroopa (green/red)
  • Lava Bubble

I also added new icons:

I implemented a proper object rendering system.
There were also a few additions to the sprite pictures.
Not very much, I know :P
