In terms of the characters you listed, avoid doing too many gimps, you could SD or get staged spiked, and their recovery isn't great.

For falcon, I recommend doing plenty of dash grabs (make sure you pummel) into down throws, and once at 50 to 60% down throw into knee of justice near the edge. If you knock them off the stage stand at the edge and up tilt, it spikes.

For Mario, use a few down throws into up tilts into up airs, that's his best damage buildup combo. For kills either use back throw or fludd+cape.

General advice: Don't go for risky spikes, don't taunt, and don't be too predictable. Also use the shield-dodge (input down while shielding) as it can avoid all forms of attack, and has very little lag (shields have lag), so if you can predict when they strike, you can punish them for it.

Don't take everything I've said here as a rule book, the best way to play is to experiment and see what strategies work for you. The best thing to follow is the simple rule: "adapt or die". If you see a pattern in what your opponent does or in what you do, change what you do to throw the opponent off and get some free hits. For example, if you do plenty of side-smashes, and they start countering them, do the normal side-smash setup, and then delay, they will counter, and you get a free hit at the end of the counter.

I recommend making a second hard drive partition, and from there install windows 7. That'll keep your files where you left them, and give you thr OS to see if you like it. I personally do this with Windows 7/10, but I mainly use 10.

Where could I look to find a guide to building CoinKiller? Would be nice to know how to build it myself so I don't have to wait for somebody else to upload a build.

Hm, must be doing something wrong. I set it to release and tried to build/run it, but both returned several errors, and then nothing was created/opened.

Update: Turns out building did make a folder. Tried running make in it but didn't look like it was doing much more than printing the same thing over and over again, which was the command written in the makefile. Should I just leave it to work?

Uh, thats a virus. The only decent 3ds emulator is citra, but you won't see any fully playable games yet, give it another year.

If you have a 3DS, you can run romhacks on that. If you do have one, what firmware version is it on?

1. Is there a Coinkiller.exe in the build folder?

Nope, only a few make files and some assorted c++ files.

Posted by TheKoopaKingdom
2. What happens when you run Coinkiller from Qt?

Nothing, as stated above. It throws a ton of red errors and a couple yellow ones then nothing happens, or at least nothing is indicating anything will happen a couple minutes after the errors stop.

Edit: Maybe I didn't install something in the setup? I left it at the default which excludes several versions of qt.

Looking at the picture that KoopaKingdom posted, I realized the errors came from only having visual studio 11.0 (the 2012 version) on my laptop. I tried installing 2015, but both the online and offline installers give errors, and an hour of troubleshooting online returned nothing. I'll just wait for somebody else to post a build (for now).

Thanks, shame you can't edit entrances yet, but at least you can move them. Anyone have an idea on how much more is needed to implement the ability to edit the properties of stuff?

Weird, I had the reverse experience, as soon as i installed 10, everything was faster. On my desktop it was probebly because it was a fresh install to a new partition, but on my laptop It was one of the installs that doesn't touch your files, yet I still saw speed improvements. Maybe my laptops a case of the placebo effect.

I've just discovered something really annoying in Paper Jam. Basically there's this piece of gear called the Farmers Boots, it makes enemies drop beans instead of coins. Using this, you could get every every stat up to 999. It's endgame for that reason. The problem is not the gear, no, the problem is how you get it.

First off, in the final area, you need to find a specific paper enemy, pretty much the least common enemy in the area. Next, you need to use a boo biscuit, and hope you get the 1 in 3 chance of him throwing barrels at you. Each barrel has an extremely small chance of dropping an item, and that item drop has an extremely small chance of being the farmers boots instead of a bean. I would also like to add that the enemy can throw anywhere from 2 barrels to 5, so even more luck there.

I have gotten over 60 beans from this enemy, and beans are also quite a rare drop, just not as rare. I'm honestly considering hacking it in, it feels more random than the ruppee glitch from Hyrule Warriors, and that was unintentional.

You get two at a time, AlphaDream must have realized how awful it was to get one, so it's the only item in the game that actually gives you two for one drop.

Is your 3ds 9.2? If yes, depending on what kind of r4 you have you can run them. Otherwise you're out of luck.

I personally prefer 10 over 7, mostly because it's way better optimized. Not even really sure what the appeal of 7 is anymore. I've used 10 since around a month after the official release came out, and I've yet to have a problem with it.

Theres a CIA called the stage2 twl flashcart launcher. It can run the original r4 and several others. Otherwise the same person released a flashcart launcher that works on stuff older than a patched twl firm alone can fix but newer than the stage 2 launcher can be used for, and finally you can find a patched twl firm on that iso site which will let any flashcart that worked on the 3ds since firmware 1.0 function on the latest firmware.

No, they won't.
And once a Video is claimed by Content ID, only Nintendo will get the money, unless you dispute it, then nobody will get the money during the process (except for YouTube).

Uh, nope, actually Nintendo gets it while the content dispute system works. Nostalgia Critic did a video not to long ago going in depth into the content id system. The person who issues it gets to rob you of money while the slow, bot-controlled system sits and does nothing.

okay: Asus laptop for sale

might post about how my attempts at installing Windows 7 went, but you guess that they failed, those bastards sure made sure you don't install Win7

Why not just isolate windows 10 into the smallest partition possible, install windows 7 using a bootable drive into a separate partition, and set it to automatically boot 7 instead of 10?

Posted on 03-14-16 01:29 AM, in Paper Mario: Color Splash Link | #68526
Sticker Star had two core problems. The characters, writing, and overall plot were lacking, and the battles were pointless. The majority of talking characters were toads, who constantly refrence to being made of paper, and just feel horribly generic. The plot is the same as 64 and TTYD, someone kidnaps Peach, Mario has to collect some stuff and fight the kidnappers. The problem is the lack of sideplots and interesting world design. There was no train that had a penguin detective and mysteries to solve, no toybox that was full of thieving shy-guys, just a few generic NSMB worthy themes that aren't interesting or memorable in any way.

The battles were where it really failed, as they removed the exp system, and replaced it with coins, which you can only use to buy more stickers. If the goal of battles is to use stickers to get stickers, there is no reason to fight them, so the game turns into avoiding enemies and only fighting bosses, and this is fine, because the lack of an exp system means your always strong enough to fight the boss, as long as you pick up stickers from the ground. It really doesn't count as an RPG anymore, and Nintendo knows that. In the US colour splash trailer, they said "action-adventure Paper Mario games". Sticker Star is a platformer with a poorly designed rpg battle system, and Colour Splash has no hope of being a good RPG.

If you look through all three collections of footage, you'll see no exp system at the end of a battle (but coins are displayed), and the characters don't look too interesting (but, since we don't have the game yet, there can still be interesting characters and story, but there probably won't be). Colour Splash even has a battle system that requires collecting cards (aka stickers) and all of these cards share the same icon as some of the stickers. This game has no chance of being great, as at least one of Sticker Stars main flaws is still present, and the other will probably also be there.

TL;DR Colour Splash shares some of sticker stars problems, will probably be mediocre at best.

I'd rather either a full DK model import or no model change. Re-colours look really bad most of the time, unless they're done just right.
