I have no experience from school. I only really know extremely basic C++ and that's it for my coding knowledge. This site here is quick and dirty, I plan to make a better one without wix, since wix is absolute crap.

Just a question, does ck support opening romfs files? Would make testing with Hans easy.

Just a quick thought, since this is written in a form of C, wouldn't it be possible to make some sort of port to the 3DS, with, at the very least, basic functionality like placing terrain? It would be like Mario Maker for NSMB2.

So I am trying to launch homebrew again, and I'm on version 10.2.0 28

From what I gather, in order to use Ironhax again, I must re install it for it to work on the newer payloads? Or can I continue using the old payload? It seems I cant run homebrew without cubic ninja. Or is there another way?

Give more details, what firmware were you on when you used ironfall? Do you have OOT and a save dongle? If you have OOT and access to a 3DS that does have homebrew, you can also use that.

I was on 10.1.0 when I installed Ironhax.

Also, where can I get Ninjhax 2.5?

When I run the one I download form the github page, it says 2.1 when executing.

Also, I can't with the games. I dont have OoT. So cubic ninja is the only one...well RIP.

I wanted the unlimited play coin thing because a game I'm using uses it to stupidly block content unless you spend some.

Oh, I thought you didn't update your payload before updating. If you can access 2.1, download the starter pack and run ironhax installer again, and you have 2.5. For safety, I recommend also installing the 10.3 payload to file 2 or 3, and never overwrite a working payload, always do a different save file until you can test it.

If you have 2.1 on the new firmware you did update your payloads, just not correctly (somehow). If you have 2.1, you can update to 2.5. Open the (2.1) homebrew launcher and select ironhax installer. Follow the on-screen instructions and your good.

Although the play coin thing works on 2.1.

Oh, yeah, your done for. Without another entrypoint you won't be seeing homebrew any time soon. A new browserhax will come eventually, just wait for a month or two.

I've been playing Triforce Heroes for about a day and noticed a big problem with it, playing with random people online is like trying to play a game with 2 people sharing a controller, and one of those 2 people have never held a controller, and that person is also deaf. You know what your supposed to do, you do your part, but in the end, it almost never works out.

First off, lack of any communication beyond buttons. Why can't we place beacons to guide people where to stand, or what to use an item on. Why not have a masaive list of buttons which we can put 8 in quick access and the rest access from a menu? Why not have buttons to direct what your saying to one person? The communication system sucks.

Secondly, it's not server based, so the game freezes up if you try to play with someone who has bad internet. If you live in Europe or Japan, your safe from this, but NA has to put up with the US internet, which has a really low average. One time I played a game that was less than 1/2 speed. Why can't it be like splatoon? That game has great online.

Finally, the people. Everyone online either wants to troll you, or kill you. I had one game where a guy just picked people up and threw them off a ledge, until we died, then we respawned and he contnued doing so. Even worse, people will do the entire puzzle, then will refuse to step on the warp and wander off. If you hunt them down and carry them back to the warp like a 3 year old, they will spam the "No!" button like they are throwing a temper tantrum. It feels like you're just playing with a bunch of little kids 100% of the time.

I think #3 could be partially due to noob harvest season, but the other two are big flaws. The game itself is great fun, but the single player is really tedious, and the online is painful.

There is local multiplayer, but not everyone has constant access to friends who have a 3DS and want to play Zelda. The Christmas break doesn't help either.

Edit: More rant

Today I experienced the worst Zelda boss ever designed. It was on world 3 level 2 area 4. I decided to try single player and discovered this boss. I'm sure its fine in multiplayer, but it's awful in single player. Basically your on a tiny cart moving constantly on a track, and there is an enemy in a parallel cart constantly throwing bombs at you, but there is a break to collect hearts using the boomerang. The first phase is fine, but the second phase they double the number of bombs being thrown, faster than one person can throw them back. So you will be hit, 100% chance. No biggie, right? Just collect hearts. Except your constantly moving, so you can only collect hearts when you are near them, and if you miss them, RIP. Even worse, your dopples are also on the cart, so you might pick them up instead of a bomb, and if you move them to a corner, you might run into them and knock them off the edge, costing you two hearts (this game has no concept of quarter hearts btw). And you only get 4 chances, if you die 4 times, you get to trudge through the previous 3 areas, in tedious single player mode. This boss sucks.

Edit 2: I lied

The multiplayer version is just as bad, if not worse because now people are running around, so you will constantly pick them up. You also share a health bar, but not damage immunity, so one bomb can kill 3 hearts, and you can only ever pick up 8 hearts. Seriously Nintendo, world 3 should never have a rant-worthy boss.

One thing I've figured out, once you beat the game you only play with others who have beat the game (There are 2 outfits which could be considered spoilers that you get after you beat the game, so they separate the two groups) so if you haven't beaten world 8-4's boss yet, don't attempt the challenges, and don't bother with stages before the 4th, as all the players who suck won't have beaten the game, so you mostly get good teams, making the whole game more fun.

Make sure you always get official stuff. My first experience with SM64DSe was one from (I think) Skelux's site which was a super old build with tons of stuff missing.

Actually, the best use is the dynamic recompiler, which allows for faster emulation (ps1 on n3DS, snes and gba on o3DS). You also have a lot more power for homebrew making, and can put homebrew on your home menu where it will look nice. It's not only for pirates.

I do, yes. Thank you anyway.

I want my games physical. Because I own them. In a 100 years they'll still work, since they won't be tied to any kind of system. Yes, you can call Nintendo and have them relink your account or what not, but will this still be an option in a 100 years?

Not that there'll be a chance that in a 100 years I'll play my 3DS, but it's nice knowing they will be available.

Well, if you lose the system, and you can't call nintendo anymore, you can always install an emunand and import (official sdk term) the cias of what you lost.

Hmm, that's an interesting idea. I'll try swapping it after I dump my cart (can't be bothered to figure out layeredfs yet)

Actually, It will probably only work with .3ds and .cia files. Maybe individual levels too, since that ntr thing can do individual files.

All 3DS's below 10.4 are equally hackable, since you can use sysupdater to go from 9.2 sysnand to 4.5 sysnand. I'm not sure what the use of 4.5 (I think that's the latest version stablehax works on, don't quote me on that) but you can probably do a few cool things.

Imo none of them had great story, it was all "evil person does evil things! chase them down and kill them, also bowser is the final boss" (in every game some form of bowser is the final boss, not sure about paper jam but strongly doubt there's someone else)

Reggie NSMB2. Not sure where to find it, you might need to build it yourself. It doesn't support entrance or zone editing, but pretty much everything else is fair game.

Edit: Here's a link, you'll need to copy the Unit folder over to the course folder (if rebuilding for HANS you must remove later)
