Alright, time for a huge update! After alot of work (and texturing the model twice) I finally have a working alpha. And by alpha I mean extremely early tech demo. Download link is in the first post, go check it out! Details on patching are in the first post as well.
Also I found the thread name editor and changed the name. ____________________ Switch on latest firm happily playing Smash daily PC with an i7-4790K, RX480, 16GB ram Various other consoles that are hardly used due to emulation existing |

When importing your model, you'll see a table of the names of the textures on your model and a bunch of the number 0 beside the texture names. Replace the 0's with 1's and your good to go. ____________________ Switch on latest firm happily playing Smash daily PC with an i7-4790K, RX480, 16GB ram Various other consoles that are hardly used due to emulation existing |

I'm really not too experienced in terms of SM64DS hacking. If you're falling through slopes possible what is happening is some faces were dropped due to being too small and the collision is messed up because of that? I'm not really sure.
If you're using sketchup, make sure the front face (white when untextured) is what you stand on. The back (blueish) face won't have collision, or textures. ____________________ Switch on latest firm happily playing Smash daily PC with an i7-4790K, RX480, 16GB ram Various other consoles that are hardly used due to emulation existing |

I really need opinions and help with making this, and I've put alot of time into it already. There is a video there so you can help without patching a rom, but I really want to get that fence fixed soon so I don't put too much more work into this only to discover the fence is hopelessly broken or some other crap like that. Even the model used is there. Just watch the video, download the model if you want, and post an opinion please. ____________________ Switch on latest firm happily playing Smash daily PC with an i7-4790K, RX480, 16GB ram Various other consoles that are hardly used due to emulation existing |

Hmm... Weird, I was using google drive, and they work for me. I get a different host, should be updated in a few min.
Edit: Link's updated. ____________________ Switch on latest firm happily playing Smash daily PC with an i7-4790K, RX480, 16GB ram Various other consoles that are hardly used due to emulation existing |

I thought I fixed the spawn point, Now the fence. I'm really not sure why, but in sketchup the fence looks perfectly fine, I even made it a narrow box so the textures would be visible on either side of the fence. In SM64DSe the textures look normal, but I have to flip them upside down in sketchup to make the textures be rightsideup in game and in editor. In game, the texture repositions itself up halfway. No other texture has this issue, and every part of the fence is affected. I might just expand the platform and get rid of the fences, too much of a headache. EDIT: Not gonna update download, if you die restart the emu. When I finish the model 100%, i'll update. Until then, there isn't any reason to change a spawn point, no stars to collect. Next update should have a death floor, but I will need the deathfloor ID for the Castle Grounds. ____________________ Switch on latest firm happily playing Smash daily PC with an i7-4790K, RX480, 16GB ram Various other consoles that are hardly used due to emulation existing |

mariocrash i think what happened is your not using the correct rom, try getting a different one with the exact title "0037 - Super Mario 64 DS (U)(Trashman)" (no quotations marks obviously ) It should be the first one. You'll get an error unless you gave xdelta the exact rom skawo used. ____________________ Switch on latest firm happily playing Smash daily PC with an i7-4790K, RX480, 16GB ram Various other consoles that are hardly used due to emulation existing |

Well, why not either try to improve it enough to make it onto the app store, or improve it more and release it on cydia or something, it's also possible to download stuff out of safari no jailbreak, but i'm not sure how that works. One suggestion is to remove the luma's body taking you to k64 so it's easier to tap the arms, and remove the google option so it's dedicated to k64. Also if you mean you can't release it cause it's nintendo related, look up any video game franchise and you'll see that apple gives 0 craps about you releasing this. ____________________ Switch on latest firm happily playing Smash daily PC with an i7-4790K, RX480, 16GB ram Various other consoles that are hardly used due to emulation existing |

Are you gonna use the sunshine secret stage music in the games files that was used for the minigames? It would ramp the awesomeness way up. ____________________ Switch on latest firm happily playing Smash daily PC with an i7-4790K, RX480, 16GB ram Various other consoles that are hardly used due to emulation existing |

Quickly changed a few things in the first post, with some finalized things detailed now (total number of stars, name, ext.)
Progress has been going slow lately due to grade 8 starting, and the pain that is music importation. I followed skeluxs video tutorial almost click for click, yet my song plays at half speed and doesn't loop. If anyone has a tutorial that describes music importing better, let me know. ____________________ Switch on latest firm happily playing Smash daily PC with an i7-4790K, RX480, 16GB ram Various other consoles that are hardly used due to emulation existing |

Well, here is an update of sorts. I redid the model for the exterior of the level, also known as the hub. Here is a screenshot: Also, I figured out my issue for textures. Sketchup sucks, and moves the textures around for some reason. I'm going to learn blender, and texture from there, sketchup is good for creating the model, but seems to be bad for texturing. ____________________ Switch on latest firm happily playing Smash daily PC with an i7-4790K, RX480, 16GB ram Various other consoles that are hardly used due to emulation existing |

I don't understand where the quad-face your talking about is, but I have tested the model ingame with placeholder textures and the model runs fine. In terms of being generic, i'm not sure what I could do to improve it. ____________________ Switch on latest firm happily playing Smash daily PC with an i7-4790K, RX480, 16GB ram Various other consoles that are hardly used due to emulation existing |

(Note: You can confirm anything from Portal 3 to Super Mario Galaxy 3, but Half Life 3 is the most popular option for this)
(Note2: Make sure they are nonsensical!) Example: Kuribo 64... 64/4=16, 16*5.625=90... 90 is divisible by 3... HALF LIFE 3 CONFIRMED! ____________________ Switch on latest firm happily playing Smash daily PC with an i7-4790K, RX480, 16GB ram Various other consoles that are hardly used due to emulation existing |

Hmm, i'm currently working on a level. My level could be part of your hack, it might be better that way. I could also help with modeling, as I have some experience in that field, as well as texturing (once I learn how of course). ____________________ Switch on latest firm happily playing Smash daily PC with an i7-4790K, RX480, 16GB ram Various other consoles that are hardly used due to emulation existing |

It might be a good idea to at some point compile a complete change log, as it might be useful to have as a point of reference. There's post's in between the changes in this thread, as well as multiple pages you need to go through. ____________________ Switch on latest firm happily playing Smash daily PC with an i7-4790K, RX480, 16GB ram Various other consoles that are hardly used due to emulation existing |

Why do this, when you could use Nintendon't? There is virtually no setup, not even a slight risk to your wii if you don't know what you are doing, and it works great. I can even type out a full tutorial. Or, if your really worked up about piracy, devolution also kinda works. ____________________ Switch on latest firm happily playing Smash daily PC with an i7-4790K, RX480, 16GB ram Various other consoles that are hardly used due to emulation existing |

How to Install Themes
First off, you need a theme. Here's mine: https://goo.gl/QPW5K6 Also, here's a few pictures: Next, you need CHMM, which is here: https://goo.gl/1NykWS Place the .3dsx file from CHMM in \3ds\CHMM\ on your 3DS's main SD card. Now on the root of the SD card, place the folder from my theme in \Themes\. !IMPORTANT! Before loading a theme, make sure you have your 3DS set to use the default, white theme, or CHMM will fail to install the theme. Now put the SD card back in your 3DS and start the Homebrew Channel. Load up CHMM and install your theme using the A button. Exit to the home menu and you now have a theme! The theme will stay even if you turn off your 3DS, take the theme files off the SD card, or really do anything. If you switch to a different theme, say the default, the only way to load the theme again is to load CHMM back up. How to Make a Theme OK, making themes is a much harder process. I'll explain pretty much everything you need to know, from custom music importing to colours and such. I'll break it down into chunks hidden in spoilers due to how many things there are. The first step for anything is what programs you need. The universal tool for everything is known as YATA. Since the developer stopped updating it, someone else modified it and added a whole bunch of stuff. Here's a link: https://goo.gl/qIurkB Also, When you first start YATA, you need to go to File->New if your making a new theme, or File->Open to load a theme you have been previously working on. If you do neither, everything will be unclickable and greyed out. Images I'll add more to this when I have more time. ____________________ Switch on latest firm happily playing Smash daily PC with an i7-4790K, RX480, 16GB ram Various other consoles that are hardly used due to emulation existing |

Posted by GreenThunder1337 Yes you can. Ninjhax 2.0 (what ironhax is based on) works on the latest update, 9.9.0-26. The downside is that in 9.2, a kernel exploit was fixed, limiting homebrew somewhat. The main downside to not having the kernel exploit is that you can't install channels. ____________________ Switch on latest firm happily playing Smash daily PC with an i7-4790K, RX480, 16GB ram Various other consoles that are hardly used due to emulation existing |
