Hello! My name's Megaman511again, and I am very interested in learning to hack Super Mario 64 DS. Some people here already know who I am, but in case you don't, I'll just start off by saying I do have some sort of experience hacking games, most noticeably the Super Mario 64.

I'm also in SMWCentral which is where I post my Super Mario 64 related stuff, and i will post anything Super Mario 64 DS related here. I just need to learn how to hack this game first so I can actually contribute, haha.

Anyway, hope I can make new friends and make some new hacks here. Thanks! :)

(Hey guys, should probably let you know that I'm not proceeding with this mod anymore, as I'm not interested in doing SM64DS mods for the foreseeable future.)

Hello everyone! I come here to share you guys my newest hack (and first for Super Mario 64 DS) and it is a port of Super Mario 64: Superstar Saga!(Thread located here --> http://www.smwcentral.net/?p=viewthread&t=69144) And so far, I have sort of imported the Castle Town HUB (currently imported to Bob-Omb's Battlefield for now).

I'll have more pictures to come as soon as I import more levels, and fix bugs! Next level I will show will be Stardust Fields.

Aren't there any other textures you could use? Those look kind of ugly. The models also look a bit low-poly, but it's a pretty good start :D

Unless I can recreate the original sprites from the GBA version, or get someone to help me with that, I could try.

So is this just going to be a version of SM64/DS with places from Superstar Saga as stages?

Or are you actually somehow going to turn this into a RPG game or have RPG elements (like Super Paper Mario).

I'm assuming it's the first thing I mentioned, but looks cool anyway. I like the idea (now someone just needs to import Luigi's Mansion into a 3D Mario game.....)

Yeah, it's the first one.

You'll have to add extra details to the models to make up for the original game's fixed camera design. There'll be a lot of environments where there would have been something beyond the screen and you'll want to update the graphics because 2D tilesets from a 16-Bit console simply won't transfer into a 3D game engine well.

Yeah, I agree. I'll try and get some modeling help and with textures as well.

How did you make the logo man?

It looks really amazing. Also, I wish you the best of luck making this hack because I've seen the previews, and the stages look amazing! Keep it up man. :)

Sorry for the off-topicness here, but how did you import over the castle grounds? It always crashes for me when I do that.

I made a thread to talk about Flipnote Studio 3D, about the delay, etc.

I wonder when they'll end this delay release the app. This whole server issue really isn't much of an issue since it pretty much works fine in Japan now, and it's been like.. a year ever since the delay, and the release of the app in Japan. All we can do is wait and email Nintendo on why it's still delayed for this long.

Currently the app is between Mario Maker and Devil's Third.

Does that mean it might come out late 2014 or early 2015? I honestly do not know.

Also, randomly off topic, I meesed around with my avitar, but it back to what it was. Anyways yeah, I love Flipnote Studios! I remember opening up my DS looking for new animations. :)

Yeah, hopefully they actually give out some new info on Flipnote Studio 3D.

-----------------------

Hello everyone! I've decided to finally contribute to this forum by making a hack that hopefully you guys will enjoy, and yes this will be more than just an idea. This hack will be based off Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga and the stages will also be based off the locations of which are in the game.

Here are some screenshots of some test stages I've built to give a representation of what the stages will look like, soon to use sprites (turning them into textures) from the original game!

Screenshots of Stages:

I should use Charles Martinet Luigi over every sound.

Charles Martinet voice sounds good to me.

I figured since SM64 hacking is a thing here now in Kuribo64, I decided to make a thread dedicated to M64 ports.

Here are a few I made.

Also here's a new one I just made today (4/10/15).

Cool. Could I request a M64 for you to make?

Sure, lay it on me.
(Make sure what you want me to import is not a complicated MIDI and please send me a MIDI of it)
