According to records page we already have passed 10 users in five minutes milestone.
10 users online: Dirbaio, Gericom, xfix, shibboleet, Marionumber1, Arisotura, Tahcryon, ray, Ruedajv10, MK7tester. I guess it's time to have fun and discuss future. Will we have 20 users in five minutes milestone? What do you think? |

Posted by Silver Known, and probably nobody cares (it shows logged in users within last 5 minutes). But perhaps we should make special case on "Log out" button. But otherwise, if we would show everybody online, this list would be almost empty because of short lifespan of HTML requests. |

The best CSS gimmick . At least unlike others it's sort of usable. Also, no lag, but 8% of CPU usage. |

I made a screenshot, so you can rotate while you rotate.

No, we didn't. If we would ate too many Mushrooms, then whole PC would rotate .
Sorry for spelling errors, but rotation. |

Posted by Gericom It's not worth it. It would be hard to make MediaWiki look like ABXD - and having different syntax could be confusing, and Arisotura wanted consistency. Still, it should support publicly viewable revisions in case of vandalism or something. The only MediaWiki syntax that should be implemented in my opinion is page link syntax. And possibly redirection. |

Posted by Mega-Mario I could try doing that, but well, that would require making plugins for MediaWiki (but this isn't huge problem), but why bother when ABXD will have wiki system. |

I could easily make this board have 100 users in 5 minutes. The problem is it would involve spam bots. |

First of all, mechanical translations are bad. Second, there is just no reason to port it to Python. None. It works rather well and fast already (ok, I haven't tested). Now as for java2python utility you provided. I have put something more complex than "Hello, world!" and well...
[source=java]public class HelloWorld { public static void main(String[] args) { System.out.printf("Hello, %s!\n", "world"); } }[/source] Simple enough? Yes. This is my translation (without that utility). [source=python]print "Hello, %s!\n" % "world",[/source] Readable, I know. But this tool doesn't do that. [source=python]#!/usr/bin/env python """ generated source for module HelloWorld """ class HelloWorld(object): """ generated source for class HelloWorld """ @classmethod def main(cls, args): """ generated source for method main """ System.out.printf("Hello, %s!\n", "world") if __name__ == '__main__': import sys HelloWorld.main(sys.argv)[/source] What about... no? It doesn't even translate things correctly ( System definitely isn't identifier in Python). The only translator I actually have seen working well is sed to Perl (included with Perl as s2p), but it generates lots of code for edge cases. Oh, and C# <=> VB.NET, but those are similar languages (they just have different syntax). |
