what bothers me is this sentence

"Very Important! This Emulator wants never finished it's more just for fun!"

What kind of English is this, what does he mean with it? is he saying that this emulator got its very own will? I didn't knew that was possible...

Is there even enough information on the street to make a Wii U emulator? Because I don't expect anyone to make an emulator if there isn't even enough information.

I remade a mario kart 8 track for mario kart ds (it works) and I am doing some other ds model related stuff now. Thus reducing polygon count, I could help if you want.

I don't think there is much to spoil unless you never played mario sunshine..

look at the comments of the video, I find it hard to believe that it actually worked.

What do people think, just add a file in a folder and it will magically load wii u games? I cringe so much.

I appreciate all mario games, but I criticize the mario "Fans".

Lets take for example Paper Mario Sticker Star, My favorite. But appearently, as I found out a month ago, most people hate that game with passion. Basically, it didn't follow the exact Paper mario thousand year door formula (My least favorite game out the series btw).

This makes sense because: Nintendo is enslaved to their fans to make the games the fans want, they are not allowed to use their creativity to make something else, else they get a storm of angry fans with which will somehow force nintendo to make the game they want.

So much bullshit here. First of all;
> nintendo makes new creative game
fans mad
> nintendo makes the same game over and over again
fans mad (not as mad but still)

Secondly, Game is not exactly what you liked. You can make rant videos about it on youtube and force other people to follow your opinion, or you can try to enjoy them game and leave it with that.

Of course you can give your opinion and of course you can make reviews, but games like this often do not get reviewed on their actual gameplay, music, style and other stuff but on their nostalgia factor. Game isn't like this game? > bad.

Paper mario sticker star is a fine game, its not like sonic '06. Its oke if people don't like it but I find these rant "review" videos overkill, there is no review going on. when I wrote my opinion in the comments, I got a flame war and death threads, because of a mario game. Nintendo isn't enslaved to make the games you want, they can make any game they want and you get to decide if you want to play it or not.

People should appreciate what they get, even if you don't like it.

Don't you worry about that, I can at least half the level poly count. Would be nice if you added me to the main thread post as modeller by the way.

I doubt that, if you reduce the triangle count too much, you will damage the mesh of the level.

I find this whole barrier thing bullshit. Regarding to mario 64, its just as hard to make a 120 star hack for mario 64 as it is for mario sunshine or any other 3d game.

The problem lies at people thinking that there should be a community, and that the core should be a tool or a certain hack. That is just plain wrong and I don't know when this developed but this going on quite some time now in all kind of "Communities".

first, I see only people whining about communities not being large enough or something, but that shouldn't really do anything. If you want to hack a game, you should do it even if there is no community or some bullshit like that.

second, The core doesn't lie at a tool or hack or board. The core lies with the people who start hacking the game because of technical details. They are the people who make the "easy" tools. so if you want a community or a hack going on, you should have someone who is able to do such stuff. regarding to mario sunshine, there are enough ways to make a simple hack for this game, so community or not, you should be able to make something.

tl;dr: stop whining about fucking communities and just do shit if you want something to happen. (This should not be taken to personal)

In SM64, all the graphics are simple, so anyone can throw together some shit in SketchUp and have it look decent ingame.

I think you should take that back

unless you think they look good, but it takes a while and effort to make something proper like this https://i.imgur.com/xILyN1E.png , https://i.imgur.com/GJXYEmi.png (Both made by the same guy).

One thing mario 64 hacking does have is a proper level importer.
> export model to obj
> select model and click on import
> playable already

where mario galaxy needs a whole process for each model.

http://orimagi64.net/showthread.php?tid=122

Starland copied this emulator and called it his own.

edit: Well technically he didn't called it his own, he just copied it.

edit 2: according to the one who made it, he's breaking copyright law by reuploading with removed credits. Meanwhile he complains about romposting I heard. I wonder what goes on in his mind.

Gameboy emulator: BGB, because it got detailed debug functions and it emulate most accurate. I always use it to program my gameboy stuff with it.

Dammit again
> its death
> thus we cannot work on it

anyway, I could help with modelling but I need designs. Otherwise I cannot do much, however I invented a way to design better models with blender. but still a drawing wouldn't be luxery. (I also got that one flower planet which is eating dust right now)

I like the idea of parts of mario 64 levels floating through space.

I find the idea of this music good, but its a bit meh. so it needs to be in a small different style.
