derp question but is there a Vista-styled 7 skin? :P

...to make Vista look like 7 or 7 like Vista? (Either way the answer is yes.)(Also there's a lot more out there than just ports from one OS to another...)(Also can we discuss this further in PMs? I feel that this is getting slightly offtopic)

VirtualBox

VMWare is better for gaming - gives better performance and has more reliable Direct3D Virtualization.

smg2 is a complicated fuck and it always will be

smg1 makes things easy tbh

wait wat
since when
...how much have I missed??

ANd honestly, SMG1 hacking is easier to me. I can completely recreate a galaxy and it would'nt fail in any way! In SMG2, I can't even move a coin without the game having to crash!

Uhh...those SMG1-exclusive powerups aren't as SMG1-exclusive as one might think...

...but if that's so then maybe... D:

I suggest just dumping the game using CleanRip, transferring it to the computer and using Dolphin Emulator to extract it. This has been successful for every GameCube/Wii game I have tried.

I actually recommended Captain Grabbin' in a PM, but CleanRip and Dolphin might work too if that fails.

SMGExtractor worked for me. It's odd that you guys are having trouble. If SMGExtractor does'nt work, CleanRip is indeed a good alternative.

Might want to update the manual to mention that. And, you know, Captain Grabbin', since that's what actually did the trick in this case...

Anyone else getting getting an issue where it get stuck on "Rendering galaxy, please wait..."? And yes, I have waited

Yeah, I just restarted it a couple times, then it worked. I think. Then again, AFAIK it only worked on that empty Flip Swap template, so... ._.

Would you ever consider taking action to fix the "smart" trend?

I use X for replacing some default Windows thing!
Oh no, replacing the default Windows thing is not so good! This is all Microsoft's fault of course!

To be fair, it is Microsoft's fault that the Anniversary update apparently causes startup crashes and/or Taskbar unresponsiveness starting with second boot post-upgrade.

128/130 stars done

...what (if anything) is left to do after that?

Also, uhh...idk if this is stupid, but I feel like that Rainbow Mario would look a lot better with a trail of some kind, be it SMG-style ([image]) or something different. Just my thoughts, though, and well, I'm kinda nuts about flashy coloured trails, so my thoughts may or may not be a bit skewed... XD

a trail like that requires rendering 4 more marios, which is a ton of extra polygons. maybe i could consider one extra render behind him, but i think that would look alot worse.

...right. What about just a couple of blurry, multicoloured, vaguely Mario-shaped particles? Or perhaps multicoloured stars? I don't mean to be pushy about this, I'm just throwing out ideas that I hope might be more doable. It's your choice if you want to take them. And well, it's still pretty awesome to see Rainbow Mario and, well, all of this other stuff... O:

Spore crashes if you attempt to scale any part of a branch in the Flora Editor, but only on 99% of computers. Oddly this doesn't happen if you use a hand or foot from the Creature Editor to scale a branch joint, but that's kind of a pain.

Then again, the Flora Editor is unused and can only be accessed via command-line options, so I guess that shouldn't really come as a surprise.

Microsoft was never moral. they have a long track record of killing competitors and stifling progress in favor of their monopoly.

fun fact: in the early days, Office was faster than its competitors because it cheated -- it used undocumented APIs.

And Classic Shell isn't easier to use than standard Windows 8.1 by cheating and using undocumented APIs...?

EDIT: Actually nvm, Classic Shell only uses them for cosmetic purposes.

What does Classic Shell have to do with my post?

It, too, uses undocumented APIs.

EDIT: Or something. Also nvm, just realized what a stupid question that was given what it uses them for .-.

...right.

So uhh...not directly related to Windows 10, but who else here hopes to stick with something that isn't Windows 10 until ReactOS becomes viable for everyday use, then switch to it, rather than using Windows 10?
