so the 3d view is trying to render for like 5 mins now with no result but my gfxcard is shitty so ill give it a bit more time ^^. thx again for the help and i guess ill be back as the next problem shows up ^^

greetz PlaqueOne

Have you disabled shaders on Whitehole's configuration? It will make rendering A LOT faster...
But, it shouldn't take *that* long to render. Maybe your card doesn't support shaders at all?
Either way, try disabling shaders :P

Yay Arisotura! Progress FTW!.

I also got a report that on OSX, when trying to interact with the level preview, it becomes tiny. But sadly this will most likely remain unfixed, unless it gets fixed accidentally. I don't have a Mac, and there's no way to virtualize a Mac because Apple are money whores and forbid it. In short, fuck OSX.

I've seen some Mac OSX VM images on TPB, so it *is* possible to virtualize it...
Maybe you can give it a try. But yeah, Mac software sux in general...

Also, let me point out that if an obj_arg is used, it's pretty sure it HAS a purpose. Even if it's not visible when testing. So yeah, like Arisotura said, it's better to mark it as an "unknown" Obj Arg than not mark it at all. AND if you mark objects that way, don't mark them GREEN. Mark them ORANGE. It's better not to mark args as "does nothing" unless you're REALLY sure.

Same things happen with NSMB sprite data. Most of the stuff is used, but some is really hard to figure out :P

Okay, there is a very weird error that is bugging me, I used whitehole a few times and it was awesome, but now whenever I load a level and click a button it shuts down whitehole and spawns a "hs error pid" blahblahblah file.

Then post the contents of the "hs error pid blahblahblah file", man! It contains useful info to see what went wrong. ALWAYS give as much info as you can when reporting errors. I hate it when people go "I get an error, it doesn't work"...

(But yeah, a JVM crash like that could be caused by stuff other than Whitehole)

I tell you, I found a pre-packed VMWare image of OSX. So it *is* possible.

Heheh. My first (and only) Mac I've had was this one. Good times. I was like 5 by then.

WikiXD is coming? YAY :D
(Well, if you want)

Also why reinvent the wheel and make Mediawiki markup? The BBCode we have now is flexible enough for using for a wiki and all. O.o

EDIT:
andposting tables
is easyas fuck now

Lol but keep in mind people here will be more used to BBCode than to MediaWiki markup...

Also yeah, a way to mark titles is very needed. It's needed in posts too. The h1, h2, h3 tags are ugly. The post parser shits br's after them, resulting in weird vertical spacing.

Big title - h1

blah

Medium title - h2

blah

Small title - h3

blah

I'm not sure if anyone has tried. I haven't, for example, but I could try. (Well nope because wiiscrubber is crap and doesn't work on Wine)

What's the problem? it doesn't work?

It means Java can't find one of the necessary libraries. AFAIK Mega-Mario distributed all the necessary libs with Whitehole...

Have you unzipped the whole zip 7z file? How are you launching Whitehole?

SMW is an awesome game. Love it :3

NWP, how did you get into game hacking? Where and when did you find about it?

It's an incompatibility, yeap.
But still, if you edit a file with Anarchy and the game can still read it, there's no reason Whitehole couldn't read it :)

So yeah. Bug!

Before you start re-inventing the wheel you might want to see if not Wiimms ISO Tools satisfies your needs. I haven't really used it my self, but as far as I can tell, it can do all the things you mentioned.

I checked it out and it seems it can extract files, but it can't add or modify them. And if it can, the documentation does a really terrible job at communicating it

And it's a command-line tool :P
