Fun fact: Blocky Block Land star 2 has 119 collision maps (1 stage, 118 objects) in it, and collision detection is a main reason why it lags. So I replaced the existing broadphase with a bounding volume hierarchy. From tests with no$gba, it is a lot faster, but this needs testing on an actual DS.

For the fun of it, here's the editor that can be used to edit Excerpt from Super Mario 256:
SM64DSe: Excerpt from Super Mario 256 Edition

Note that because differently named models are used for replaced objects, this is not backward compatible with a regular SM64DS ROM.

I trying download this program and after prohibited (forbidden) Can be this file blocked!

Nitro Studio 2 also got an alpha semi-release, and SM64DSe Ultimate got some nice new features too. Josh65536 (known on this forum as "mibts") also released a plugin for Blender 2.79, that adds functionality for opening and closing SM64DS's model and animation formats, and exporting models with quads and other neat stuff, this year. This has enabled Hailbot (the hacker working on Sunshine DS, to vastly optimize his models for the hack, enabling him to add much more detail.

This is a ROM hack that I'm making with the goal of it being the most technically impressive hack of SM64DS. It features custom enemies, platforms, and even particle textures. Right now, 44 stars in 8 courses are done.

16 (26?) main courses containing 128 (208?) stars and 16 (38?) other courses containing 32 (48?) stars are planned. (Maybe I'll have 64 courses for 256 stars?)

A new demo (v0.1.4) has been released!
This one has 2 new levels and a lot of bugfixes. The reason for the release of this demo is that one of the bugfixes required a lot of change to the code, and I want to make sure I didn't break something.

How many stars are you planning to include in this hack?

The videogame ROM Hack Super Mario 256 have/contains 256 stars and 64 courses/levels.
