So if I set some tranform parameters in the .bones file and import everything correctly they will appear in-game? That will help fix the slanted texture issue I'm having with bob-ombs.

Tried the browser using "import other model" but it does not ask me for a bmd file to import. It also throws an exception when I set the scale value.

Is there a parameter/argument to specify which model an object uses? Like with SM64.

Water alone is invisible BTW. Whitehole doesn't have models set up for water objects so it's mostly groping in the dark if you're trying to make a water planet.

Funny, I was trying this very thing last week. Tinke does the same thing when I try to save (I'm running the latest 0.9 beta that actually fixes saving). It either corrupts the SDAT file or corrupts the ROM outright. I posted an issue on the Google Code page. But I do know that Tinke gets the SWAV file correct from looking at it in Audacity.

I haven't had any luck with Kiwi. I didn't see an option to extract to rebuild an SDAT file, just replace it. If this was implemented in the editor that would be awesome. Fiachra, you said it would be possible to insert bigger files into the ROM. Do you mean importing longer sounds or high quality ones? Also, working in Tinke I saw options for PCM as well as ADPCM. The original sound effects sound quite compressed too.

I wish I could help you but all I've been doing is playing around plopping in objects with null arguments. I have a ways to go but these interactions will allow all kinds of possibilities.

I have yet to figure out how to replace files in the editor as well. Does't seem to be a button anywhere, I checked everything.

Yes, evil acronyms indeed. I skipped over that and didn't realize that SM64DSe != NSMBe. Anyway I tried it and it works fine. I can finally repack NARCs now. The tree texture issue IS the BMD file after all. The crazy thing is though I just replaced the BMD with another random one to see what would happen. In this case it was Peach's hi-res model in the intro when she reads the letter (basically because I was too lazy to copy my save file to skip the intro lol). It works fine then! If anyone wants to look into it I can upload.

Also will the next version close the files after saving? Curently I have to close and restart Whitehole because the game crashes when I select a star (files are still open). This is running the game from a directory in Dolphin. If this is fixed it will make testing much easier.

Thanks. Everyone talks about wanting to test object arguments, now that will save me 10 seconds per run. Now I can leave Whitehole open and reset Dolphin/load a state whenever I make a change. Takes me 3 seconds!

Yes, *something* about the NARC packing code is corruping the BMD file. I extracted the tree BMD from the archive and put it in a previously good archive using NSMBe and it still broke.

I have a feeling we are running in circles here.

If you want to retexture something just load external textures in Dolphin.

What restricts camera rotation? A specific object or the fact that a wall is present? I was wondering if a camera hack could be made where it can be rotated 360 degrees all the time. I poked around with WiiRD but all I found were 2 bools that affect the on-screen dpad icon. What should I be looking for as far as making a RAM write code? No assembly.

So you're basically saying, "Screw all the work you've done, custom planets or GTFO." Yeah, you're making friends already bud.

MrRean was this is an easy one to do, or did you run into issues? Seems like a neat level.

With object spawners (such as bob-omb and bubble generators) is it possible to change what object is spawned, how many are spawned at a time, etc? I haven't messed around with parameters yet, but the database doesn't mention these things.

Is anyone else having issues with this running Dolpin 4.0 x64? Followed all the steps correctly and Dolphin crashes when I run main.dol. All the folders and paths are set up correctly.

Figured it out, Dolphin botched the DOL. ~350 bytes, ripped with Wiiscrubber it's around 6MB. So if you have crashes ripping with Dolphin 4 just do that.

Well dunno, I guess Wiiscrubber pads it or something. Runs fine for me.
