and this is why I wanna be self-sufficient. just to escape part of the system and enable myself to actually use my money to achieve things and enjoy the only time alive I'm gonna get.
water and gas can't be helped, but producing your own energy, food, equipment, ventilation, all of these are possible to à fair extent if you try in the right conditions. people don't believe in that philosophy, and instead end up fully reliant on the system. admittedly, this mostly applies if you live in a mostly permanent home. if you're renting and moving from place to place, investing and moving equipment becomes too much for you to handle. should you ever buy a home though, you really ought to want to try aiming to invest in one of these options. solar and wind energy are pricy but I believe that if done right it will pay for itself and then more, helping you save up. it's just a matter of figuring out your options. there's more examples such as energy generated from water currents, but those are entirely dependent on ownership of the land for the rights to build equipment. in a city where everyone owns everything, it's just.. not possible. cities are the embodiment of "If you do anything on grounds I own I will shove you in court" |

Staple.. if you can ask anybody to take a picture of you with a good camera, please do. I'm genuinely thinking that your face hardly looks boyish at all anymore and IMO with a different haircut you could really look positively feminine; but I literally can't see your face traits at all on the second photo; I'm not sure of myself.
also I've been meaning to ask.. I've been spouting stuff about haircuts and the like, but: first off, can you actually style your hair? if it's hardcoded into every milimeter of each strand to be curly then I guess styling is out the window unless you straighten them daily (or at least often, but it's not good for the hair so ghfkgtjr) and second, do you want to try other hairstyles, at all. I can totally understand if it's not your thing, I'll refrain from suggesting stuff you're not into if it's just gonna be a bother. |

oh, I never said buying. I don't see it as a smart choice, either.
but if you can get your hands on a living space, you can rent it and make some.. reaally easy money. it's basically a game of luck and.. inheritance, I suppose. |

those safety nets are kind of treacherous. you're threatened by taxes and yet you can't apply for financial help because you make "too much money". it's hard to count on them considering they have all the excuses to take it away if they feel like it.
are you at risk of having to give up the house, or are you not there yet? |

suggestion: a toggleable profile option that allows you to switch between seeing the mood avatars dropdown menu as a list or as selectible images.
I can title my moodies any fancy names all I want, but I'm not remembering which's which. |

basically my point, yeah. it's not for everyone and it might not work on everything, which's why I proposed we make it a toggleable |

Maya, Blender and 3DSmax are all popular and long-standing go-to's when it comes to game modding. if you look hard enough, you can even find leaked nintendo plugins to fit the game's format.
I don't know what you need, but felt like pointing this out. Sketchup is like the black sheep to said modders for its bad practices (it messes up vertexes or something like that) which will make the importing process much more complicated than it needs to be. |

LGM is kind of magical. She doesn't realize it, but this is the second time she caused an activity surge.
Also, an adult that radiates responsibility yet shows interest for some cool hobbies is simply appealing, no questions asked. |

>if we're here together again we can break this
both activity and inactivity periods can be broken. what actually matters in a small community like this is your users actually befriending and being there for eachother, in other words having members actually enjoy the group of active users we have here. I've seen places where this actually happens. you have to involve yourself at least a little, though. what the admin does is important, and not just in terms of moderation. as the one who makes the choices, even if it doesn't feel like it, you're the one who leads. |

Posted by Arisotura actually figure out who's active and.. yknow what, yeah maybe. if you need extra staff (or people to jog the activity) you may as well pick up people you trust. I don't know whether the rule of "making people staff only because they're your friends == bad" is always true, because if you know them along with thier methods and thier values then if you're really friends you can tell whether the person is competent. |

I second that. I've seen projects leaders focus on trivial details instead to actually pouring energy into working on the contents, and said projects ended up mocked to death because everybody knew the creator wasn't going to get anything done with that attitude.
For a project that requires time and motivation, content goes first. You won't regret the hard work you poured even if you change the hack's overall directive. Any content that you make can not only serve as a great demo but also stands as proof of your dedication, sparking interest in people to wait for the full release. |

the internet goes through phases. from the wave to "we have a shiny new privacy policy and we need to tell you about it" emails to the bigass banners that pretend to give you a choice whether or not they collect your information across literally every website ever
(let's not shove everything into the capitalism thread- that ought to feed the monster) |
