oooh that's awesome!! congrats :)

i'm not good with goals cuz i just kinda go with the flow in life right now, but i'm certain if you don't find any new goals until then, some will spring up in your life. that's usually what happens ^^

(but if i do think of something i'll put it here too :))

i imagined it would be mapped to L/R, like it is in New Super Mario Bros. U, not X+A. it'd be more consistent across games that way

i'm still looking for a job, but i think my family (at least, some of) is starting to see the value in the stuff i'm doing, so they're letting me do that more often, that's fun

you know, when you put it like that...

i didn't think i'd see the day where Kuribo64 outlives Super Mario Himself. wow.

It's really nice to be validated by your family like that. :) I do think there's a lot of value developing skills needed for a job including confidence, assertiveness, communication and listening skills as well as dealing with anxiety and criticism you'll probably get from the job, but don't feel pressure. I hope your family is super supportive and encouraging to help you get a job. My family was kinda hands off for me and it didn't do well for my self-esteem. It took me to move out with someone else who'd actually dedicate time for me to find a job.

well, i've had jobs before, but the first one i got fired from because i was too slow at making the pizzas (thanks, ADHD, for always absolutely needing every single peperoni to be evenly spaced perfectly) and the second one was Taco Bell but i only stayed for a week because after that i had to move across the country lol. but since then i've been moving a lot and still don't even have a driver's license so i don't have a job currently. but despite me not having any way of getting to work, my family is still pushing me to get a job at like McDonald's or something, somehow? idk it's dumb but whatevs

if it makes you feel any better, i too read it as "this shouldn't" rather than "shouldn't this" haha

I think the worst mistake of 3D World besides it's recycled concepts and formulaic design is its controls, I think if you're characters are going to have different speed stats, having them just run faster would suffice.

tbh i found Super Mario 3D World's controls to be really fun - not to mention, its level design is extremely good, and it hardly recycles concepts lol. but i don't think this is the thread for me to gush about 3D World

the 3DS 3D thing is largely a gimmick anyway

like a lot of 3D video things

I find that my brain is already quite good at giving depth to a flat picture without needing gimmicks that give me headaches and shit

tbh, i always play my 3DS with the 3D slider turned all the way up. i just really like it. then again, the fact that i did the same thing while my eyes were undergoing an extremely developmental stage of my life is probably the reason i can hardly see my outstretched fingertips without my glasses. i'm honestly wondering if it means i'm legally blind. but i'm sure this is unrelated.

there hasn't been a lot of non-Nintendo or non-indie games that i've enjoyed. i haven't found the same fun in a single original Xbox or PlayStation IP, except for Spyro the Dragon and the first Sly Cooper game, but those are really old now. the only sports games i like are stuff like Wii Sports. i don't blame them for not wanting to, but even i can definitely enjoy a lot of indie games. Celeste, A Hat in Time, A Short Hike, etc. not to mention Undertale and Deltarune. all fantastic games that hold their own charm, not unlike Nintendo's. as someone who also pretty much exclusively plays Nintendo, i'd still recommend stepping outside that comfort zone once or twice every now and then.
