Hi there! I'm the new A few months ago, I wrote a tool that converts Maya ASCII animation data to J3D joint animation data. (BCK) Supports the following games: Super Mario Sunshine, Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, LoZ: Wind Waker, Super Mario Galaxy 1/2, Pikmin 2, and whatever other game that utilizes JSYSTEM on GameCube or Wii. So far it doesn't support tangents, but I'll get to that in the future. Required: - Maya (I've only tested this with Maya 2014; feel free to try any other version) - BMD model used for the animation - A semi-functional brain Results: Link: https://github.com/masterf0x/J3DAnim Have fun! |

Posted by Super Hackio BMD actually came first. The only difference between BMD and BDL is that BDL contains an extra chunk that has pre-compiled GX commands to speed up the rendering process. |

I suppose. OBJ2BDL already converts models straight to BDL; BMDCubed converts them to BMD but you can easily convert them to BDL with J3DViewer |

I saw nerd stuff, which led to more nerd stuff, which then finally led to here.
Decided to join and add my nerdiness to the factor |

Do they really not work with Maya?
Hmm, odd. I could have sworn the model I used was exported from Blender |

Hi there, folks.
I started a project about a month ago, aiming to mimic Kirby's Dream Land 3's engine, but running in Unity. Now, this might raise some obvious questions: 1.) Are you high? Why this game? No. (Or at least I don't think so) I love Kirby. Saying I love Kirby more than myself is an understatement. 2.) Okay, but why are you doing this? Well, you can only do so much when you're an unemployed college student looking to do something. My goal isn't to recreate the entire game, but to at least get the entire first level up and running, similar to the Super Mario 64 Unity project. I will post progress in this thread for each new video I upload, and occasionally will link screenshots. Here is some footage: |

Don't you mean recreate? Porting would be reverse engineering the game's code and writing it to work for said system |

So, uh, how was Gimzie being transphobic? I pretty much agreed with everything he stated in that snapshot |
