Posted by Moline The laptop mentioned here has been retired and will be replaced with something more reliable. You can learn more here, and also partake in general Windows 7 discussion as well. |

Posted by Swingball Granted, but it's soo hot that trying to set foot into your pool will literally burn you (Fun fact: 100 degree pool water does not feel good. It literally felt like a very hot shower. What was weird though is that only the top was 100, the lower you got, the cooler it was) I wish for a record label deal. |

Share any non-NSFW images here, but here's the twist! They cannot be uploaded to any image host, here, or even your own website. Ok, so how do you expect me to share the images then? Pop it open in a hex editor such as HxD, hit Ctrl+A to select it all, hit Ctrl+C or right click->Copy to copy it all, and then share it here with the spoiler tag. Make sure to include the file extension the image is in (E.G. JPEG). To rebuild the image, open a blank hex editor page, copy what is shown, and then save it with the extension that is listed. I'll start (and let mine serve as an example as well).

Posted by Arisotura It's a technical way of sharing images. You don't get image previews, but you also don't waste upload space, plus the image won't ever go down as it is in Hex. |

I'm trying to setup Acmlm Board XD, but I get the following error after entering the database info and hitting next:
Setting utf8_unicode_ci collation to the database... Installing database version 300... badges… OK. settings… creating…/board/lib/mysql.php:164 backTrace() /board/lib/mysql.php:131 rawQuery('...') /board/lib/mysqlfunctions.php:71 query('...') /board/install/installer.php:72 Upgrade() /board/install/doinstall.php:7 install() BLOB, TEXT, GEOMETRY or JSON column 'value' can't have a default value Query was: create table `settings` ( `plugin` varchar(128) NOT NULL DEFAULT '', `name` varchar(128) NOT NULL DEFAULT '', `value` text DEFAULT '', unique key `mainkey` (`plugin`,`name`) ) ENGINE=MyISAM;MySQL Error. An error occured. Please go back and fix the settings and try again. I'm not sure what is going on as I did not modify this version of ABXD 3.0, and even my custom software based off of ABXD, Moline (both 2.0 and 3.0) produce this same error as well. Not sure what else to do as I have it already setup and working on my main domain (molinesboard.epizy.com). Thanks in advanced for your help! |

This is Windows Vista on a Dell Latitude E6530 with 16GB of RAM and on a 4TB SSD with Windows 7 installed alongside it. Yes, the About Windows (winver) box says 6.1, but that's because I use the Windows Vista Extended Kernel by Win32, located here. If you have a spare Vista capable machine, give this a whirl. I will start a separate thread on this as to not go off topic |

The Windows Vista Extended Kernel is a kernel extension for Windows Vista developed by Win32. This allows most, but not all, applications designed for Windows 7 to run on Vista. Such apps include the latest Firefox 94 build. At some point, Win32 hopes to have support for Windows 7 driver support, which means Intel Graphics designed for 8th Gen Kaby Lake Refresh (the last Intel platform who's graphics contain a Windows 7 Sky Lake section alongside the Windows 10 Kaby Lake section) can be modded to support Vista. Windows 10 drivers could also work in the future too depending on what functions those require in comparison to the 7 drivers.
Win32 is also investigating the bugs that people have encountered when running Vista on Intel Haswell and later processors. I hear 12th generation Alder Lake was just released, but I don't think anything has changed in relation to the Haswell and later bugs, but if anyone has Alder Lake and wants to try and get Vista to install to see if it suffers those bugs (Interactive logon process failed to initialize, several services do not initialize, etc), be my guest. When trying to install, you may run into a "This BIOS is not acpi compliant error" BSOD, which can be solved with a modded ACPI.SYS, which unfortunately making one is out of my league and I do not know of any that exist currently. Here's a few pictures of the Kernel in action: Windows 7 Calculator Firefox 94 Windows 7 Paint Windows 7 Wordpad To get the three Windows 7 apps working, you must copy them from either a Windows 7 ISO or from an active Windows 7 installation. Also of note is that this kernel is 64-bit only, so don't even try to install it on 32-bit Vista, although 32-bit functions are added in for 32-bit apps. Also for the Windows 7 apps, copy the 64-bit versions over, not the 32-bit versions. For the Extended Kernel, you will need all the Windows Vista updates from 2007-2017 as well as Windows Server 2008 updates released from Vista EOL up to September 2019 (These updates change the version from 6002 to 6003 even though there is no Vista/Server 2008 Service Pack 3). You can learn more about this kernel as well as download it from here: http://ximonite.com/win32/download.html |

I am selling some Technology over at eBay. As the thread's title suggests, it is only open to United States residents due to the hassle of international shipping via USPS (as well as the extra fees eBay may charge for that). I also did not see anything in the rules that state this is not allowed, but if it's not, then please do close this.
Anywho, I am selling various computers and a Nintendo Switch over at eBay. These computers range from 2012-2019, and are the following: Dell Latitude E6530: Comes with Intel Core i5 3rd Generation Ivy Bridge. Supports XP-11 (2000 is unofficially supported via blackwingcat, although IDT audio does not support 2k). No HDD, and a few defects like a broken right hinge and one of the sliders that helps holds the battery in place fell out. Both are fixable (the slider is included), and the laptop works great otherwise. https://www.ebay.com/itm/385608294124 Dell Inspiron 3847: Comes with Intel Core i3 4th Generation Haswell. Supports 7-10 (11 should work, but I did not test this). Outside of a 1 minute or so buzzing noise on first startup (goes away and does not occur if you restart, only if you shutdown and start it back up. Banging gently on the top of the tower may make it go away, too, otherwise, it will just go away on its own), it works great! https://www.ebay.com/itm/385607767331 Acer Spin 5 SP513-51: Comes with Intel Corei3 6th Generation Skylake. Supports 7-10 (11 not tested). Features a touchscreen and can be folded/tented. https://www.ebay.com/itm/385612566372 Acer Spin 5 SP513-51: Comes with Intel Corei3 6th Generation Skylake. Does not turn on (but holds a charge, charger not included), and the case around the keyboard is cracked severely. https://www.ebay.com/itm/385608324361 Acer Aspire R3-131t: Comes with Intel Celeron N3050: Mainly similar to the Spin 5. Windows 8.1 and 10 work. I've never gotten 7 to install on the 32GB eMMC. https://www.ebay.com/itm/385615595442 Acer Aspire A315-21: Comes with AMD A6 Dual-Core and AMD Radeon R4 Stoney Ridge. Works great! Has a SATA connector in addition to an NVMe/M.2 slot, but I've never gotten that to work. I could just not have the right drive for the slot. Supports 7-11 (Windows Visa works as well, but you will need the Extended Kernel installed before using the modded graphics driver for it). https://www.ebay.com/itm/385607830539 The selling of all this, especially the Nintendo Switch is coinciding with my want of a Steam Deck. This will replace everything, especially the Switch as it can do what a hacked switch can do, and so much more (like run Windows 10 and GameCube and Wii Games via Dolphin more reliably than the Switch Android. I plan on going for the $399 model. It is actually cheaper to buy the 64GB model and a 2TB NVMe than it is to buy the almost $700, 512GB model. I can buy the 64GB model and a 2TB NVMe and pay $600 total, or I can buy the 512GB model and a 2TB NVMe, and pay $840. I think I'll take the $240 in savings and buy the 64GB model and swap the drive out, lol. EDIT: I apologize for any grammar errors. The keyboard on this Dell Precision 7530 is being wonky, and it does not recognize every other key press if I type fast. Idk what is causing it, as most times, the keyboard is fine, but other times, like now, it's not. Usually, it takes a couple tries of putting it into sleep mode to fix it, although, if it doesn't fix it, it will start off fine, and then the keyboard will start to lag. EDIT 2: The Nintendo Switch has sold, and the Acer Aspire E1-531 is being retained by me. The others listed here are still for sale. |
