It looks interesting and funny, I"ll try it as soon as I have some free time.

How is it funny? (Assuming you meant to type in fun)

Looks pretty cool! Just make sure to spread things out a bit more. Wish to play this soon!

There's a file apparently that has a base sky shade, and every sky color is simply a shade of that color.

I need help, got ntr booted , followed all instructions but can't load up onions on ntr booted (dunno how)

If you copied OnionFS to the SD:/plugin/ folder, it should load after you boot NTR, and then launch NSMB2.

Make sure you have the actual mod files copied to SD:/OnionFS//romfs/

OnionFS is basically LayeredFS. Make sure you have properly typed in the folder names.

So the onionfs folder should be OnionFS, not onionfs.

The romfs folder should be written exactly like that.

The titleid should be replaced with your actual titleid.

Yeah, it's /titleid/romfs, not the other way around.

I'm not sure if it helps, but I had to place the romfs files in "sd:/OnionFS/titleid/". You don't have to create the romfs folder.

On the newer OnionFS versions, you do have to create the romfs folder.

Really? I have the most recent version and it doesn't work for me this way.

Huh, that's strange. On the Github it even says that they added custom code support, meaning the rom files go in a romfs folder, and the code.bin goes in the titleid folder.

Guess I'll point this out: Luma3DS version 7.0 has built-in file redirection, might be worth checking out.

Yup, heard about that yesterday. Planning to update this thread's instructions and my general modding thread with the new method.

No OnionFS anymore ?

Most likely not. However, compatibility seems to be broken with NSMB2, so I'm holding off on it.

I'd be happy to apply, but I'd like to know more about how the team would contact each other (Skype, Discord, IRC), and would like to see some screenshots of the mod so far.

You're going to have to hack your 3DS if you want to properly test levels.

https://gbatemp.net/threads/guide-nsmb2-custom-levels-mods-the-easier-way.437207/

is what to follow if you want to.

There are tools to extract cias on Windows, but I haven't ever needed to use them, so I don't know what they're called.
