Super Mario Sunshine 64 DS is a Super Mario 64 DS hack I am currently working on. I'll be porting levels from Mario Sunshine and making new stars for them. I'll be working first on simplifying the models so the DS can handle them as this is the most time consuming part and then I'll start adding stars etc.


This all looks great I used to mod the n64 version of Mario 64 I really have no experience with ds modding...This looks like something I would do to the n64 version, you should make a sunshine n64 mod as well

Also Fiachra is their a loose release date, for example a time when we will see this and sm64ds star road... To be honest i really like your work and actually want to play them in action...

From what I know the NDS could read files sent only that were signed officially by Nintendo meaning it would not work for sending mods or homebrew to an unmodded NDS. The NDS would need a hacked firmware as Staplebutter has said to accept an edited ROM or homebrew. I don't know anything about signing or authentication, is it possible to fake a signature to get homebrew to load on an unmodded DS? maybe someone here knows more.

(Before I say this please note I have little/no experience in nds hacking) Any who I have a slight question, as you said it is not possible to allow ds download play with hacked roms/homebrew, I have actually played a smash demo with working ds download play/used d.d.p successfully with this homebrew title, with that being said I forget the name of this homebrew mostly making this post useless, but I am just trying to be useful to the best of my ability

EDIT: Apparently super smash bros rumble and/or super smash bros crash do have the download play feature...hope this helps
