I'm still waiting for the day I get to really max my defenses to ludicrousness.

I'd rather eat the dead leaves, as tree bark is not good for your teeth at all. Neither is dead leaves, but I think tree bark is worse.

Would you rather eat chitterlings or tripe?

Snakes are cuter than tarantulas but tarantulas have a reputation for being easy-going and laid back in spite of their appearance. I guess I could get used to tarantulas in the same room as me.

we need to get the Sun to post copyrighted content, then

I'm still trying

I JUST ENDURED 40-45 DEGREE HEAT EARLY SEPTEMBER IN BAY AREA. NO AIR CONDITIONING. IT WAS ALSO WARM A NIGHT SO SLEEPING WAS TERRIBLE. SUMMER IS AT LEAST LONG OVER AND NOW IT'S LIKE 2 DEGREES BUT THE HEATER WORKS OKAY I GUESS.

Summer is the worst season of the year. It seems like it wouldn't be TOO bad in other countries where it's cooler, but no, you guys seem to just get humidity and bugs rather than, idk, mid-spring weather like in Bay Area.

Well... honestly I've been working the same job for a while, since April of last year. Still part-time, though, so no insurance (weep for America again, you Frenchie). My sister hasn't been active in this forum for a VERY long time now, but currently, she's also working a full-time job. The post office. Well, it's her second job because her first job is stinky. I don't have as much anxiety at this job as I used to.

My sister and I officially hate dogs as I gotten myself bitten by one, badly may I add. Bled, puncture wounds. Got admitted to an emergency care place. Prior to this, I had to take care of him; they're my boss's dog and we gotten acquainted for a bit for several months. I walked him, and when that was done, I tried to feed him and that's when I got bitten on the forearm. Very unexpected. I forgave him the first time, my bosses profusely apologized and compensated. Then I took care of him again the second time, believing it won't happen again. Dog bit me AGAIN on the hand, WHILE FEEDING. AGAIN. But no puncture, just a bruise. And then there's that, no more taking care of him but I don't trust him again and I don't think I can trust dogs ever again really. When people say their dogs don't bite, that's bullshit.

My sister is a post office worker so hating dogs is a given. Didn't help that she got nearly attacked by one.

Oh, yeah I heard Europe suffered under a heat wave, did hit like forty degrees. Thirty-seven is pretty stinky temperatures too, though. What's worse than the sun are those awful high pressure ridges, though, they're the main reason the heat waves happen.

I kinda was half-dead at home. All the windows were closed, fans were running, but it wasn't pleasant. Do you French have air conditioning? I COULD go to a cooling area but didn't realize how bad it really was in hindsight. I also didn't really want to go to the apartment pool because people are there iirc and I'm not in the mood to potentially catch COVID.

People need to treat heat-wave as the bad weather it is, for hampering with productivity, killing people, stressing power grids, and whatnot. It's not as SPECTACULAR as floods tho but people underestimate how damaging heat waves are to people.

You can't trust stranger's dogs. They MIGHT seem friendly but they're apparently unpredictable and it feels like one wrong move leads to a bite. I don't have the heart to like yell at a dog or make nasty faces to it (might hit them if they're being nasty to me though), and I do pet them if they're nice enough but I do always keep my distance and won't spend too much time with them.

I mean I'm NOT at my family right now so that's good. I'm yearning to be back for my sister, though, as it's been now two years I'm without her. It's not easy.

Eh can you make rent? I'm in Bay Area, the place known for exorbitant rent prices. One bedroom apartment is like at LEAST 2500 American bucks per month which is like 2355.67 euro or something. And no healthcare! I'm one bad car accident away from being bankrupt, isn't that a pleasant thought. I also haven't visited the doctor in a while because the price per visit is probably a couple hundred bucks without insurance (and even with insurance there's "copays" or whatever).

At least you have a good job. And good that you're not working for Ubisoft or some shit. Ubisoft has a rancid workplace. And I'm glad you're paid well, hope you're not living like paycheck to paycheck. I'm NOT living paycheck to paycheck myself, saving like a thousand per month or so, since my bf pays most of the rent, so it's decent for me too.

Oof depression, please find a medication for you. Hopefully you get help from a psychiatrist, don't want you trying out those weirdo herb shit and stuff, that'll just cost money... as for a healthier diet, well, try not eating giant gummy bears ;P

Yeah. It's because it's not expected for France to get THIS hot in the summer. Same for Northern California I guess. But at least you have a nice nuclear energy infrastructure. Maybe invest in AC for the upcoming years but we've been dawdling on the climate crap for TOO long. Maybe some uber rich people in France and the U.S. can be one or two yachts lighter. Just a modest suggestion.

I mean the whole "we're not recycling enough" is putting blame on people who pollute less lol. What's REALLY going on is that production line crap is generally responsible for a lot of the CO2 pollutants and whatnot, and the rich do consume more than us on an exponential scale. Not saying, "don't reduce", we all should do our parts, but not enough attention is paid to the mass polluters. We can ban private jets for instance....

Yeah apartment finding doesn't seem really fun. I don't know WHERE to go in this blasted region. Yours sound super cheap and actually livable.

Yeah for Ubisoft, this is why I don't buy their games. Even Mario + Rabbids my interest fell off because Ubisoft as a brand name soured my palette SO much I lost a lot appetite. Mario still looks sweet while dual-wielding but the game? Mmmmmmm....

Work with what the doctor prescribed but yeah if that mushroom does help you I guess I won't push you too much. I'm just a little leery of herb stuff unless the doctor explicitly told me to roll with them.

Oh idk I'm going to visit my mom and dad and sister and maybe my brother will be there. I'll also see my irl friends and I'll get to see my cockatiel again (I miss my sister and my bird the most). Hope we get to eat something nice but I don't want anything TOO fancy, just want to spend time in what I feel is starting to become some memory and a video on a phone rather than a tangible entity, and that's making me feel sad. Aside from my boyfriend, I do feel lonely here. No friends no one to share my memories with except my sister who isn't even here. I have to stick to online to keep my sanity. It's not the worst arrangement, but...

Well those disasters ARE happening as we speak. Just in countries that don't "matter", such as Bangladesh. Or Pakistan which endured some horrific heat waves and then catastrophic floods. Hell in Texas in this country, they experienced a devastating winter only exacerbated by Republicans' unwillingness to try to do something about the grid for the winter. That grid, of course, failed last winter. Oh and there's COVID which again our Republicans don't care about and they're likely the reason COVID has stuck around for like over three years now and is here to stay still.

Pretty sure our Republicans won't abandon capitalism like they won't abandon their conservatism. They're going to go authoritarian instead. That's what the saying goes, for conservatives anyway.

Oof yeah neolibs probably REALLY don't like nuclear power because of general public stigma to nuclear power. Macron is basically a free market fundie, I hate those types.
