The 1.9 updates mostly solve the problems that the players on competitive PvP servers complained about, but that's probably far from the only reason why they implemented it.
I guess what they're doing is making realism/survivalism and creativity more and more separate with each version. Both were closer together than they are now, in fact, I think that's the charm about the old beta versions of Minecraft. Although adventuring in the recent worlds still is quite a good experience, and the new Elytra gliding thing is kind of awesome. Posted by Xyspade I agree too, but at the same time, I kinda understand why some people go for realism. In the end, it's easier to relate to and to understand. In this case however, I think Minecraft should have separated the two into two more gamemodes, like, two other ways to play survival mode. Posted by StapleButter Not necessarily. At least, my Samsung Android phone always asked permission if I wanted to use one of Google's apps. Of course, I said no to most of them except the Google Play Store. If you disable the localization feature (something like that) you're good to go. Mostly. There are some of Google's annoying apps (like Google+) that keep in the background but most can be disabled without any problems (and it's not like they can actually use any of your information without your agreement). Posted by StapleButter Oh, so that's why some phones don't update the Android version? That's kind of lame. You could look for a near top-notch phone that's still cheap, but that's most likely going to be just a temporary solution. Posted by StapleButter Hah, I guess. Even old phones aren't that much better. Some "recent" J2ME phones still are updated often enough to access the internet (see late Nokia S40 phones). Mobile browsing is going to be somewhat more difficult, but not impossible by any means. There's quite a few apps for you to choose, and it's the closest you'll get to a modern phone that isn't a modern phone. Posted by Yami I completely forgot those were a thing. Dunno about those other systems, I haven't heard/seen much about them. "The quieter you become, the more you are able to hear." --Ram Dass |

This too. There's more but they aren't very interesting. EDIT: I was looking through my old posts and I realized this image was gone, so I updated with another one of course, but then I realized that the edit bumped the stupid thread! ARGH. Personality Test by SimilarMinds.com Most personality tests aren't accurate, but if you try many of them I guess you can estimate the average and get an actual result out of it. |

No, not even remotely. I believe it has never snowed here even, the minimum temperature ever recorded being -1ÂșC. Not sure though. "The quieter you become, the more you are able to hear." --Ram Dass |

Posted by Yami That reminds me when YouTube had a beta feature called Feather that made simpler webpages for users with slow internet to use. Unfortunately, they decided it's not worth it. Why? I have no idea. But I have to say, it was a great feature when I used it back then. So, remember when YouTube was introducing a new channel layout? Remember how they tested it with a few channels before publishing it? I think this is happening again, maybe, because my channel layout changed when I viewed it yesterday. Here it is, but in case you can't see it, this is how it looks. And apparently there's a reddit thread for it too. The "Uploads" and "Created Playlists" titles are clickable and they go to their respective pages, but that's it. Most other things aren't there. I can change it back to the previous one by including the What to Watch Next page, but I can't put the channel feed back there. "The quieter you become, the more you are able to hear." --Ram Dass |

Posted by Yami Notifications? Is that somewhat like their new RSS feed thing, only more annoying? If it is, it honestly seems kinda pointless to me. "The quieter you become, the more you are able to hear." --Ram Dass |

Like I've said somewhere else, I've seen multiple installations of Windows 10, it can either go swimmingly or horribly wrong and there's no guarantees. Maybe it can go swimmingly wrong too? No idea.
I think Windows 8 and 10 just represents a change in design for Microsoft, not only visually but in other ways too. Let me explain: Linux, in the most common distributions at the very least, you can change pratically everything in the OS. You can even change the kernel! It makes it very easy to customize, provided you know how do to it which is often the most difficult part and the reason why most people don't use Linux. Then there's, for example, mobile OSs which are very restrictive with what you can and can't do. Android is not even that bad compared to S40 in that regard. It works well, but if a system issue appears, good luck. They never intended you to customize a lot about the system in the first place, it was meant to work in a very simple way. For me, Windows XP and 7 would be between those two types, not very restrictive on what the user can do but also not too changeable. Most people don't bother messing too much with Windows, but those that do want to very well can. For me, Windows 8/10 seem to be taking a step back in that regard, going towards the "mobile way" of doing things. If it's still difficult to understand what I'm trying to say (which can be because I'm a derp), look at this image: Linux would be at the far right and restrictive mobile operational systems would be at the far left...I think. More or less anyway. I didn't mention iOS or OS X because I don't know much about Apple products, but if I had to guess they would lean more towards the "Normal User" side. The reason I think Microsoft is doing this is not only because of the flat design, but also the Windows Store and the fact you can use Microsoft Office on your phone or even on your browser now. They also put more options for transfering data from your computer to either the cloud (OneDrive) or, you guessed it, mobile devices. rev. 3 EDIT: Making sure the link to this image in particular is more permanent. Posted by iZackefx Welp. ...oh hey, the GT610? I currently use one of those, the 2GB version specifically. I barely play any games that would use a lot of resources from it, but it works nicely. "The quieter you become, the more you are able to hear." --Ram Dass |

Posted by saltypepper That doesn't sound good, probably a corrupted Windows install. If you are able to do anything (probably should enter safe mode by pressing F8 before the Windows logo appears), try running the following command: sfc /scannow I recommend doing it in the command prompt so the window doesn't close after it finishes. It'll scan for system errors and fix them automatically. It may not do that to all of the corrupted files and it might take a couple of runs for it to fix them all. If it doesn't find anything then you could try the following: sfc /verifyonly It'll scan for errors but not fix them, with that you know exactly how many and what files are damaged, if any. If it fixes the errors, then nice. If it doesn't fix anything, then I guess the problem is somewhere else. If it says it couldn't fix some files even after running the first command multiple times you'll have to manually replace them. BEEP BEEP BEEP *end of call* ...sorry, it's just that it's late over here and I should go to sleep. "The quieter you become, the more you are able to hear." --Ram Dass |

Forums requiring accounts to access images. I know technically it counts as an attachment file, but even then you'd think the people who coded the board software would be smarter than that to at the very least put an exception with image files. Of course, this is a trend with Xenforo and vBulletin, hell, it might even be the default option! That would explain a lot! </rambling>
Acmlmboard might not be the most updated and recent of forum softwares, but it loads pages way faster than any other one I've seen and I wouldn't doubt it being more lightweight server-wise too since it doesn't have all those "fancy effects" that do nothing other than slow down the page. Those can get specially annoying on mobile, but that's another topic for another day. "The quieter you become, the more you are able to hear." --Ram Dass |

I know of a simple way to do that. You need to turn your image into a background (another class to add to your CSS) and call it right after the normal background but not after the post box.
Basically: make another <div> between .DK-burgers and .Mario-vomit (great names) and put apply some CSS to it. {background: url(http://www.mariowiki.com/images/archive/b/be/20160129041424%21Mario_OK%21_-_Animated_Sticker.gif) bottom no-repeat;min-height:[MINIMUM HEIGHT HERE];}
You're going to need to remove the min-height and padding properties from your background and add it to this extra class, but it should work. Hell, that's how it works with my post layout (there's two separate images, one that always sticks to the bottom). "The quieter you become, the more you are able to hear." --Ram Dass |

I generally have connection problems with USB mice too. Not always, but sometimes it simply keeps disconnecting and reconnecting (multiple mice across multiple PCs I've tested). I try to see if I can find keyboards and mice that use PS/2 instead in order to A. have more free USB slots, which I need and B. have less connection issues.
Unfortunately it's not easy to find those anymore. "The quieter you become, the more you are able to hear." --Ram Dass |

Posted by Degolegodyl Maybe the admins deleted it? This is just a guess. Fun fact: My layout's images use less than 30KB of space. It's mainly the custom font (Merriweather) that slows down the load time a bit, but I feel like the layout looks way better with it. The images were taken from Sonic CD. I tried using matching colors while still making the post readable. All of the text has a shadow property that surrounds it and when hovering over links the shadow makes a very neat effect. Link. Bold. Italics. Bold and Italics. Underline. <sarcasm>Totally awesome code that totally exists.</sarcasm>
Posted by Someone The mountains repeat horizontally and always stick to the bottom of the layout. The sky will repeat endlessly behind it. Both effects happen regardless of the screen resolution. "A rainy day is as beautiful as a sunny day. Both exist; each one as is." --Fernando Pessoa |

The fact that the channel trolls users is probably not the violation here. What I think is the violation is that they "stole" GilvaSunner's name. By presenting themselves with a very similar name, the YouTube team probably closed it down thinking it was impersonation.
Also, that channel was being operated by a group of people, not just a single troll (mainly Triple-Q from what I've seen though). They still have a twitter account which also "immitates" the original one. "The quieter you become, the more you are able to hear." --Ram Dass |
