You could try youtube-dl, a command-line utility for downloading videos from YouTube. It should be able to download playlists for you.

...Except there is no source code there.

All there is in the zip/tar.gz is a readme file.

*hax 2.5 was released, which allows for eShop access, ROM hacks and screenshots.

Have a look at this.

Not necessarily. Finding your file via a GUI is easier, you don't have to remember the number for Read, Write, and Execute. As for the run button, I can look into being able to press enter instead.

Anyways, here's an actual release, with source code:

https://github.com/TheKoopaKingdom/CHMOD-Generator

Why not just use the properties dialog in your file manager?

Many games actually run really well in WINE, some even without tinkering with winetricks or other utilities. I just played though the first Borderlands on it without any issues for instance.

Just picked up a Super Famicom controller. Having a SNES controller with a dpad that isn't awful will be nice.

1. It's completely safe—just stay away from tools like sysUpdater, etc.
2. You need to put some files on the SD card, no way around that. You'll need to extract the starter kit from here to the root of your SD card. To launch homebrew you can use browserhax as described on the page and then install menuhax, which the others using the 3DS shouldn't notice unless they hold the button combination to trigger it.

Got a Game Boy Pocket and an EverDrive-GB. Turns out it doesn't actually work properly on the Pocket, so that's cool.

So every day at school I turn on my laptop, plug in the external monitor and set it to only output there. As the laptop's screen is 1920x1080 and has a much higher DPI than the external screen, Windows scales everything up to match that DPI, but then when I plug in the external monitor it has to scale back down and this happens.

It seems like the only way to fix it is to log out and back in with it set to only output to the external monitor, or to just entirely disable the scaling feaure which I don't want to do either as I'd like to be able to read the text on the screen when not using an external monitor.

Why won't we just switch to Linux, and make all the Hacking Tools available for it?
I mean, it's not like complaining about Windows 10 will solve your problems in the next big Update...

Or write them using something cross-platform like Qt so the user can use whatever OS they want.

I guess the best thing for quality would be a Wii U and an HDMI capture card.

A Super Famicom and a SNES, I'm guessing the SFC is oldest.

  • Half-Life 2 – Or the entire Half-Life series actually
  • Terraria – 370 hours and I'll probably play through it again, also pretty much the best value in any game I've bought considering all the huge free updates
  • Dishonored – Played through it two more times after finishing it the first
  • VVVVVV – Really fun and simple platformer
  • Super Mario 64 – I never get tired of it no matter how many times I play through it
  • Xenoblade Chronicles X – A huge world to explore and ~90 hours in I haven't even finished the main story
  • Borderlands 1/2 – So much fun in co-op
  • Chrono Trigger – Doesn't really need a description :P
