Whitehole's source code is in a Git repository at Github, at https://github.com/StapleButter/Whitehole

Under Windows, you'll need to download and install Git. You can also use TortoiseGit if, like me, you find command-line unnatural.

If you wish to contribute, you'll need Java skills. You can fork Whitehole's master branch, mess with it, and then send a pull request. If you turn out to be a competent programmer, you could even get direct access to the repo.

As for everything in SMG hacking, your contribution is always welcome, no matter how much work you're providing.


If you just seek for a usable Whitehole version, you can download the code and compile it with Netbeans.


Whitehole requires JDK 1.7 to compile right. You also need to make sure to build it for JRE7.

As you may already know, Kuribo64 will now be focusing on Super Mario Galaxy games. No more SM64DS.

For the nostalgic people, archives of the old Kuribo64 are available here.


Now, welcome to the brand new Kuribo64 site, which features:
* a new version of the ABXD messageboard software (the most recent one as I'm writing this)
* a shiny new blog, that is finally integrated into the board. No more need to have two separate accounts.
* a new Object Database script, based on NSMBHD's Sprite Database script. Big thanks to Treeki and Dirbaio for this pearl.
* some other things, I'll let you find out ;)

Kuribo64, with the help of the SMG2.5 community, will now work to provide you the best SMG hacking experience possible.

If you wish to help the community, you can participate into Whitehole's development, or help document SMG's objects. There is a grand total of 3045 objects waiting to be documented (both games included), which may look like a large number, but with enough community effort this may be finished real quick.

* RARC format (RARC == decompressed .arc)

BCSV format:
* Treeki's info, at Nikoboard
* More info from Treeki, at GSCentral

3D model (.bmd/.bdl) format:
* Documentation on the file format, based off bmdview2's source code
* Gamecube Flipper documentation (the Wii's Hollywood is the same, only clocked faster), covers TEV stages

For more, you can get a C# decompiler and open Anarchy in the Galaxy in it. For .bdl files you can also look into bmdview2's source code rather than the doc listed above.

This forum is meant for members to have some fun with whatever. Having fun is distinctly different from spamming the board, so keep it clean please.

Threads that are pure postcount++ or otherwise bring no content, will be trashed.

This rule also applies to individual posts. If a user keeps making low-quality posts in this forum or in a specific thread, they'll be blocked from posting in the concerned place.


I will also add details as to how this forum is moderated. I don't know about the rest of the staff, but I don't read threads in here often, and tend to let the place be more relaxed than the rest of the board. This does NOT mean you can do whatever you want. You guys should be mature enough to have fun without causing shit. If shit happens in a thread in here, the thread will be closed.


Also a note about CSS transforms and effects. Please try to keep them to a minimum. Remember that they'll also apply to certain pages in your post listings, which may be inconvenient.

This thread is a list of the current issues with the site. Don't post about them, we know, it'll be fixed eventually.

❶ ObjectDB
* Clicking rows doesn't open edit panel under IE8 (and probably IE9 too) fixed

❷ Board
* quickreply's quickmod options are broken nope. However previewing resets the checkboxes
* Uploader doesn't work (fails silently) fixed

All suggestions noted. Also, the OBJ importer will be for later, as there are still unknowns in SMG's model format.

Also, noting a suggestion from KP9000: make the renderer render objects as wireframe/lowres when moving the camera
