Went out today and it's really creepy, how there's almost no traffic going into St. Paul/Minneapolis right now. Lotta places require masks to go inside at all, and some places you can't go into at all.

Hey, why not check out my website while you're here?

This Coronavirus is becoming a pain in the ass. I can't visit the library for anything and going to college thru the internet is not gonna feel the same as seeing all-new faces and everything in person.

My college placement test might have to take place physically if can't successfully troubleshoot my PC. Maybe I should learn to fix PCs more.

On the bright side there's a home haircut service in our town and I'm dying to get a haircut.

oh, I definitely am in need of a haircut. It's looking like about 4 inches in the front.

Apparently we're not even sure yet if school is going to open in the fall.

My dad and I had to go to Menards a bit ago, but they refused entry unless we had masks, which we didn't. Kind of annoying.

Oh man guys having to get long hair during the quarantine. My hair grew back, yeah, but it hasn't really bothered me as I just tie it into a ponytail.

Apparently there's no way to report a post or user, is it because our waffly leader sees and hears all that happens on this forum?

ACAB

NACAB

We need some sort of protection control in place though. The police system needs to be reworked unless they can be replaced with something different. But I don't feel like they're necessary for everything.

But how that'll ever happen I don't know.

claiming police can be reformed is naive. they've been trying for years, nothing ever worked. ACAB.

90% of everything a police officer does can be done better by social workers

robber: "hands up, this is a robbery!"
worker: "Oh no! if only there was someone I could call who can diffuse these types of situations!"
robber: *he'll never know my weakness is social workers >:)*

I disagree, especially in the U.S. where everyone and their goldfish is armed.

a police officer's job does not solely consist of stopping criminals mid-crime

but I'd like to see your explanation of how a social worker can stop a crime while it's happening. Maybe bake the criminal a nice cake and give him a good talk?

we need to think bigger picture than that. we're conditioned to think like "crime bad, prison", but really we need to take a while and ask ourselves why 'crime' is a thing to begin with.

in reality, prisons aren't filled with bank robbers or horrible rapists or whatever common imagination would have you believe. it's a lot more like poor people being thrown into prison for stealing a burger or whatever.

and maybe, just maaaaybe, they end up doing that because they just want to survive.

capitalism is bad, and 'crime' would go down a lot if we lived in a system that cared to grant everyone the basic necessities - food, housing, all that.

Not that that's their sole purpose, just an example. If you got rid of cops, we'd be living in an anarchic world. There'd be nothing to stop you from robbing your neighbor or just killing people.

other than that the community would frown upon it and reject you for doing it?

again, you'd hardly consider 'robbing your neighbor' if you were granted housing, food and whatever is deemed a basic need.

I mean, it's not like humans are somehow born bad and evil by nature. they ain't all perfect and clean either, but it's far from being the shitshow you'd think it is. that's propaganda to justify maintaining a coercitive system that does more harm than help.

lmaoo I've been better myself, but everyone's got it a bit rough right now. Glad you ladies and gents are still kicking around on here though, it's weirdly comforting

Ik this forum isn't as big on galaxy hacking as it used to be, but I found some SMG2 modding videos in my YouTube recommended the other day and got a rush of 2.5 nostalgia, so honestly I might try to take a crack at an actual mod one of these days. I slapped together a logo and some planetoids yesterday, and I'll probably start some music today. I'll likely only post it if and when it's finished to my liking, so, uh, don't wait up. If nothing else, it's nice Blender practice

See y'all around sometime<3
