what are you fine folks up to, these days?

I got my legal name changed, still got to get the gender marker updated tho

then I'll get an orchi and maaaaaaybe do something for my voice? and consider my transition finished (notwithstanding HRT-induced changes which aren't too predictable).

also, my apartment is finally neat!

Way to go StapleButter. Good to hear that your trasition is going well.

Well my dad's getting enrolled in a senior day care center program soon. Hopefully our house is also redone the way we want it but we'll see.

I'm still at home but I'll probably be off home until like May this year. I can't wait, but I'm really nervous about that.

it's not.

fun fact: I actually considered it last year, but didn't go with the idea. it's a bit long for a first name, and atypical enough that nobody would know how to spell it.

people have already enough trouble spelling my last name, it's as simple as it gets, three letters, but people feel that weird compulsion to come up with a more complicated spelling for some reason.

oh well

So, I did some more practice driving, bout to go out with prof Thursday and Friday to do some more.

I have a low C in French III, makes sense, since I got low grades in French I and II. Working on History project I forgot to get done and its due tomorrow.

learning French must be ass-shitty

I don't know which one is worse between that and driving

Trust me, driving is a lot easier than learning French. That language makes no sense to me.

indeed, it does not. it's full of stupid exceptions that only exist to make it sound nicer.

but on the other hand, driving? I just can't. it stresses me out and drains me of my energy. I always worry that the worst will happen because I'm not paying attention enough or I'm not quick enough or just because somebody else is being an idiot.

Driving IS a lot easier than learning French, as much as I enjoy it. Learning any new language's pretty tough. Driving, you need to commit for only a few weeks, but learning a new language requires committing over several years, probably visiting the -phone countries, and even then you develop an accent.

But French isn't too bad for me. I managed pretty well on French class, usually tripping up with minor errors. I don't really like the subjonctif stuff though.

I also think the irregulars are just inevitable aberrations of speaking common phrases a lot. English has a lot of exceptions too. "Finite" and "infinite" are pronounced differently. "Indictment" has a long I and a silent c and t. The plurals in English are all over the place.

Driving is stressful to me, yeah. If you're not quick enough, probably just need to give yourself a lot of space and don't stress out too much if people pass you or something. I usually worry about people that make sudden lane changes, or if I bump into someone while making a lane change. I've had close calls, one time a person on a phone in an SUV just drove into the street and swerved into the lane I was in, confusing me because it didn't really commit a lane change, kinda meandered, and I braked kinda bad.

If I had to drive, it would be an EXTREME edge case where I have absolutely no other alternative but to drive without my own car, license and insurance.

And then run the risk of cops coming after me or injuring myself/someone else due to a lack of driving experience. But once again, extreme edgecase pretty rare thing that'll happen I'm sure.

Although I must admit that the Mazda Miata is the cutest car I've ever seen. The Subaru Impreza Rally Car Prototype 2001 from GT3 has a cool starry model and engine sounds are very pleasant to listen to.

......................................

As for languages my mom tried to teach me Spanish because of her nationality background and because it's the second biggest language here in the States but I refused. It's annoying to listen Spanish to on a daily basis.

So I've been learning E-O on Duolingo since atleast 2018 and I decided to use have that as my main language than Spanish. I'm currently also on a mail course too as of recent.

1. I can read/listen to/speak E-O and pretend it Spanish.

2. It sounds way prettier than Spanish.

3. I feel like a few of a kind or special, however you wanna put it.

4. The community is wonderful and my favorite rockband sings in E-O actually.

Future plans include going to different get-togethers and hopefully attending the NASK one of these years with enough financial aid. So we'll see how everything goes sometime soon.

i got a job and a new nintendo 3ds xl ultra deluxe (bigger screens!) system handheld unit. been playing some games that i've been meaning to play, but never could, since my old 3DS decided it got bored of actually displaying content, and filled the top screen with a ton of dead pixels. oh and did i mention i have a job now

it's at dominos pizza. it's uh, not my first choice... i'd much rather work at this dry cleaner's place. much less effort, and the uniforms won't make me look like Generic White Male #74... that is, if they even have uniforms :p

i've been working on a shit ton of stuff relating to CPU Miis in Wii U/3DS games as well, but this is mario land, so i don't think many people here are interested in me talking about that. i've been actually slacking on that, i need to get back to that sometime.

i've also been playing Wii Fit U every day for a few weeks now. not to lose weight, i'm super skinny. but to get a larger... personality. yeah

i'm going to be looking into studying abroad for game art and design in Germany or something soon, too. just anywhere that isn't this hell of a country. plus, i have friends there. thanks internet

and to top it all off, i'm tired as shit. hello

I got friendzoned

That's about all that's happened. Nothing too special. But I am eyeing another friend so I'll see how that goes.

Not doing the best in school, but I can manage I guess.

I made new friends on Discord, from r/smashbros, and we started voice chatting, and it's actually been 1 year since we've started vcing. Good times. We have our own server now since the discord was bothered by us vcing a lot I guess. Everyday I usually vc so it changed me a bit.

But yeah, proud of everyone for what they accomplished while they were gone. As for me.... Maybe in the future I'll do something
