well things have changed a lot since these days, I moved out, went through a few shitshows, found out that I'm trans, etc
amusingly I'm not the only one in the SMG2.5 team who is trans, either

Nobody ever participates in Trick-or-Treating on my block like we used to.
We do Trunk-or-Treat a lot here though in this neighborhood. I don't plan on "dressing up" per se but just going out with a nice set of clothes. Oh fuck morecowbell checked in less than a week before I decided to. That's a name I haven't heard in literal years...to think I joined the old SMG2.5 proboards when I was 11 damn years old and now I'm declaring my college major this year. Shit is crazy. How everyone put up with my antics back in the day I will never understand

well... this is super cool. i love things with a history or some sort of story to tell, and SMG2.5 has more than just some silly old story. it's amazing to see everyone coming back just to pop in and say hi. i never thought anything like this would happen, heh. i absolutely hate endings to a good story, so it's nice to see not everyone just completely forgot about this place. to kinda restate what i have in my bio (that i wrote when i thought the board was shutting down lol) i was never a real part of SMG2.5 at the time. i was, in a way, via me searching on my Wii's Opera browser "how to download super mario galaxy mod wii", and being led to the discussion and planning of SMG2.5 here on Kuribo64, but i was also like 10 at the time and had no idea what was going on. but now, when i'm able to comprehend what i'm reading on this website, looking back and seeing the massive history i was almost technically a part of, it's really nice seeing everyone make le grande return. welcome back, to both of you, and any others who might wanna see how the place is going nowadays. (also, i should add, i'm glad i didn't know how forums worked at the time, because if i had made an account back then, that would've sucked, heh) ____________________ yeah |

Well basically what I said was that it warmed my heart to see how much we contributed to your childhood. I wasn’t too much older than you when I found SMG2.5! I’m also 100% with you about how it made a compelling story; the drama, tense deadlines, and constant disappearance/reappearance of characters made it downright operatic at times. It wasn’t always sunshine and rainbows but damn if it wasn’t a fantastic time in retrospect. I’ll admit I checked the “Mosts” thread from last year to see if I still made it...alas. Most shocking thing to me though is how I’m still the 9th highest poster or something. My average posts per day isn’t even that far below 1, which is downright unbelievable. I posted enough back in the day to hold me above statistical water for the following four/five years. Unreal. A lot of my adolescence is straight up archived here. Seems this board is on the quieter side these days but it’s honestly had an amazing run considering what a niche audience it caters to Status: It was really, really fun, guys - thanks for the ride!

Looking back at it all it was a fun journey, we had laughs, drama, but we were a community and I honestly felt like we were able to stick together through thick and thin, always there for each other.

Hey Stygmax, must be nostalgia season or something. And yeah we were all annoying in our own special ways. I was like 14-15 when I was most active here so of course I was a huge pain.
@Arisotura/StapleButter/MegaMario (proof I'm an oldie) That's great! I remember NWPlayer123 saying she identified as a girl around when I stopped being active. That's not usually an easy thing to go through so hopefully it's going okay for you. If you don't mind me asking what pronouns you prefer? As for SMG2.5, it's a funny little aside for my adolescence that's really easy to forget how much time I actually spent here when it was a thing. I literally spent summers sitting around drawing and scanning terrible level designs thinking I was accomplishing something. I broke my right wrist in the summer of 2013 and I remember being so devastated that I couldn't draw for like 10 weeks. I graduate college in the spring so it's kind of crazy to think about how long ago it was. Honestly SMG2.5 was probably a contributing factor to me picking a CS major, so I guess it's still having an impact on my life. Fun fact: After it ended, Agent000, cosmological and I created a small team in 2015 to brainstorm an original game we thought would be cool. Never got anywhere (shocking) but it's funny that we still had that drive after the project was officially closed. I'm still interested in game design, I just don't have any time for it at the moment. Maybe someday, who knows. |

it's okay-ish, I feel somewhat good right now. I'm nearly 22 months in.
I have boobs!! and other fun shit too. can definitely say this was the right thing for me as for pronouns... she? they? I'm still unsure, am I girl, nonbinary? either way I'm more feminine than masculine, but, shrug. at times I like the idea of being androgynous. well SMG2.5? hahah. there are so many ways in which I could caricature it. tbh I wished I could also have been part of it. I originally wanted to help provide ASM hax, but it didn't help that a) SMG2.5 didn't really get far enough for any ASM hax to matter, and b) I wasn't too skilled or motivated either. I remember that debug screen thing I started making to help pinpoint crashes, then, as I was trying to figure out how to integrate it to the actual game, Treeki casually came up with a superior solution. well. atleast I provided Whitehole, but it didn't really help that I was mostly alone on it while the SMG2.5 team took a role of consumer, sitting and waiting for Whitehole to improve. there were even some posts like "Whitehole doesn't do X, it's obsolete, imma use Anarchy", which, well, didn't help. (I even recall errorbanning someone over a particularly assholish post of that kind that, unfortunately, I found too late) that being said, there was a pretty awesome effort done with the ObjectDB, despite all the flaws there were too. - I also observed on Twitter that NWP is trans, but she doesn't seem too open about it. oh well. meanwhile, folks like cosmological, who would regularly hang out in our little circlejerk, now seem... gone. or to have moved on. it's nice to see some of the oldies pop up again. breathes some life back into this board, some of its original feel. ____________________ NSMBHD - Kafuka - Jul melonDS the most fruity DS emulator there is zafkflzdasd |

Welp I have been on this planet for 21 years now. Time to look back and reflect on my past experiences.
I wish we remembered the kid I used to go to kindergarten/pre-school with. Ah well, life always works things out soooo... Anyways I was a toddler living next to some neighbors that I always enjoyed until we moved to our current town. I was just 4 when I began school after moving into my present town. Initially I had dial-up when I began to use the internet and had some but not a complete idea of how to use the internet. Pretty noisy when I tried to use it and that would get me caught sometimes. I made all kinds of friends and students in school. Plenty of memories good and bad. I still wish I hadn't throw out my school stuff without checking it first. But I'm sure I'll have plenty of memories. TV was fun too. I switched from playing with board games and toys to video games when I became...of age I say. But I still enjoy them from time to time. Video games and PC games were a lot more entertaining and ate up a majority of my time. I used to read plenty of magazines which included Super Mario Galaxy which wasn't released yet. I was introduced to the video game world with a PS2 but it wasn't always easy use because of my brother taking my console without asking, not having memcards to save progress on and people such as my sister turning it off. I also YouTubed a lot when I was little and I still do now, though I'm taking a break from it. My first handheld was a Gameboy...Advance...? But then I lost it, heheh. The second handheld I was introduced to was the 3DS which was the best handheld I ever owned in my collection. Me and my classmates used have so much fuuuuun. Playing things like MK7 and LM Dark Moon... During some google searches I came across Duolingo and took Dutch initially because the German/English resemblance, then switched to Norwegian. One of my Discord friends speak Swedish (Swedophone?) so he said he could understand me 80% of the time. I decided it was best for me to not learn any other language than Esperanto, even though my mom tried to teach me when I was young. After I became an adult I started going to the library to do my office work. It became a pain after a while of not having my own computer and internet connection so I saved up some money for a new computer and a mobile hotspot device. Soooo that brings us to 2019: I'm composing with some Super Mario Paint and trying to get my Youtube/Discord off the ground. My sister & brother moved out and are on their own. We visit/talk to them from time-to-time so that's nice. I'm going to graduate high school in June 2020. I'm DEFINITELY getting this year's yearbook. I'm going to prepare my college application come January. I'll still make sure to visit my old schools whenever I can visit. I'm still learning Esperanto and not any other language. I leave that to interpretation services. I didn't like the sound of Spanish and thought it was too normal. Screw driver licenses, many cars out here I think look ugly (with the exception of the Mazda Roadster). I'm also not buying extra gasoline and insurance. Besides, I don't think that I have the patience to get license either because I know getting a license is a long process. I'm looking to get a new bike sometime, hopefully that Yerka bike that I keep looking at. I have a developed taste for some music: Bubblegum (especially The Archies), Rock n' Roll, Garage Rock (I think), Funk or R&B (IDK) Alt-Rock, Alt-Pop Alt-Reggae (thought I'm starting to think about scratching that off) and Alt-Acoustic. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So I'm 21 now and I've great things in store and hopefully for many more birthdays.
