There are just not enough buttons to select what smash type you want to execute. And having Smash with only one or very little attack methods would take away too much from the game. i see where ricbent is coming from, and for the most part, i agree.

smash has an already established premise and gameplay, if they change that up it would as RicBent said be the largest shitstorm ever

I would suppose Swingball would be thinking it would work like that Mario 64 hack Super Smash Bros 3D I've seen on my recommendations on youtube.

Basically a stage that's a cylinder as opposed to a 2D square like the Balloon Fight stage in Smash 3DS.
Something that would work in the likes of Mushroomy Kingdom but on a smaller scale where you could see the fighters in the background and able to run around to them... you know? ____________________ I don't know what song to play so have Snow Halation Nohr does what Hoshidon't! |

neither, because the wii is a thing of the past. third party games will get ported if the devs choose to do so, but i highly doubt you will see a mario wii game on switch.
you also have to remember that not all games can get ported. a hat in time couldn't go on switch because the engine they used wasn't compatible. ____________________ who would come back from inactivity out of nowhere just to edit their signature? yeah, likely story. |

But Nintendo can still upload Wii games on the vConsole even if it is a thing of the past. I don't think Nintendo wants forget about their most popular system if they can help it. I know Nintendo doesn't want to rerelease every game for the Switch but they they will rerelease titles like SMG or Wii Sports in one way or another.
