Alright, I submitted. Yay.

There are three images that need to be ready before submission can complete. They are:

-Square Logo
-Large Preview (528x160)
-Small Preview (126x120)

Just be sure to have them ready.

Also, have some screenshots and a credits list ready. Good luck!

Thanks for your submission ! I am going to check it now. But before to upload a new update, I need another mod so I can fill the mod page layout.

EDIT : Accepted mod content ! But can I change some images to make them seem more professional ? Also I forgot that I done a MKW mod also, which add 3DS Neo Bowser City so now we are filled for the first release.
But I am open to more submissions as always !

Please note that the description is subject to modifications for better integration and coherency.

Go ahead.

Also, filled for first release? Congratulations!

EDIT: Also, the image is gone from my signature because it made it too big, and I got warned for it. Sorry.

EDIT 2: How's the first release going? It's been about two weeks since we last heard.

I had been a little busy before, but the first update should be released this week, the 2 mods are already stored on the server, and I am actually making tools to automatize the submission integration process.
Plus, we may see more submissions until for this first release.

Will modtendo! have the option to put the mods on a USB drive?

This feature could be added, the download system code I writed is flexible and implement this eventuality. Video preview is also in project.

The first release could be delayed a little, I encountered a small problem with downloading special characters file/folders, but it should be fixed soon.

I am still trying to fix this error, and it's definitively improving. The Wii actually seems too much "lazy" to make many folders consecutively, but I am changing that, and I already find a way to bypass that, I just need to implement it.
Well that's why the first release will be delayed, but hopefully not for too much.

You could just block people from using those special characters in their hack names...

It would fix your problems instantly.

Will we be able view everybody’s submissions when you’re finished building the website?

No, it isn't really a solution Islender.

You can just use modtendo! to view mod submissions, and download them.

Finally, the problem is now fixed. I succeed to implement a system that supports multiple folder creation with special characters (unicode) on FAT32 disk partition type. The second release should be released in a matter of time.

Also important notice :
It is imperative to download the current version in order to be able to use new versions as well. The Wii will update itself to new versions, and the autoupdate system is designed so all the versions updates will be based on the one that is uploaded here, and on the site that should be done soon (still searching reliable hosts).

Development update :
Small last-update problem, I updated librairies following a code cleaning, but due to these changes,
[image]
appeared in a nutshell. File system drivers conflict appeared and needs to be fixed so the application can work properly. I apologize for the further delay, but this will be benefical for new versions, as the base will be cleaned and therefore makes it ready for consequent deployments.

Also, about an eventual PC version development, most of the librairies will be upgraded to SDL (Simple DirectMedia Layer) library, to prepare a multiplatform ports based directly on the Wii code. It could open a lot of expanding possibilities, like maybe an online port using WebAssembly, and even mobile devices (althrough less support will be given for tertiary platforms).

Hello, Question?

I found a bug with my Modtendo! submission- selecting one of Baby Daisy's textures activates one of Baby Peach's by mistake

Here's the fix. It can be downloaded over my submission, as only a single file is replaced (the XML), though new files are added.

So... How can I add this fix to Modtendo!?

Thanks, allright I updated it on the server, so the new fix will be available in the next version.
In the future, I will add a submission manager that can let update already submitted mods, probably with an ID. But for now, I can do that manually.

Finally, the first "operative" version of modtendo!

Download it now (Hotfix build126) : https://goo.gl/89K9Je

Changes:
• Transition to SDL (Simple DirectMedia Layer) for graphics, to prepare PC port
• Graphics hardware acceleration added
• Fullscreen fix for 16:9 screens, and graphics quality improvements
• Code cleaning and hiding debug stuff
• Improving stability
• Error handler for server communications
• Server-side change : Comodo CA security certificate added

Warnings concerning auto-update system, please read:
- The auto-update system have been disabled for both security reasons and reliability. Consequently, the current version will not detect new versions that needs to be checked manually there.
- Concerning the auto-update system of the previous version (the first one), the application will detect an update, but will not be able to download it causing the application pause or return to menu (security handler) as I disabled it. So please download this one and overwrite the new version on the old one to manually update it.

Notice:
- To quit the application, press HOME button at game menu (you can't quit the application when downloading as it could otherwise corrupt the SD card)

Concerning errors:
Please report them there, with the most details possible like how your Wii is connected to internet, eventual errors and where the error happens in the application.

Thanks for your patience as I know it took a little more time than expected, and looking forward for the involvement it will create. I always welcome new submissions.

1. Looks nice. It's great to see someone programming for the Wii, still.
2. Do you have screenshots?
3. I think this application would make more sense if it were decentralised. It would be cool if I could, for example, host my own repository for testing or for a selected group of people (such as a region). You can of course have the popular things on your own, default repo. Compare it to how Linux distros or Kodi work.

Decentralization would need much work, cause I will have to standardize all the protocols used. And the main goal of the application is to supply all the mods in one place, so a decentralization is a little against. But I got the point.
And implementing regional publishing or only for selected people would need to collect IPs, which I don't want to do for now, even if the application currently acquire the IP address to download but it don't send them on my servers.

As for screenshots, for sure I can add some of them as soon as I have time on the main post. But it's a mod browser/explorer/downloader, so I don't have much to show.
