A bit disappointed that LM will get to 3ds and not the Switch. They wanted to make some more money with the already created engine, I guess. Crash is cool, Octopath Traveler too. I'm going to think that you meant bis instead of lis. One reason they couldn't have it on switch is because BiS is a 2 screen game and the switch is only one screen.
I'm also confused why people think it's a port, smash5 is made by HAL not like smash 4. Also look at the logos they are totally different. e |

Posted by RicBent I don't understand why people are so upset over this. The original Luigi's Mansion being remade on 3DS makes perfect sense. Get the Luigi's Mansion remake on 3DS out of the way in order to generate build-up for Luigi's Mansion 3 on Switch. Remember when skawo released Another Super Mario Bros. Wii before the Newer Team released Newer Super Mario Bros. Wii? Nintendo utilizing a similar strategy. It's a warmup, a teaser, for the real deal. |

The 3ds cannot nearly reach the Switch performance. And with this port done this means there won't be a LM1 remaster on any home console probably ever. Also it's not a warmup for LM3 but a little trick to reuse the already done engine without even having to create new content before the 3ds dies. Hmm... but that doesn't exactly rule out a Luigi's Mansion 1+2 remake on Switch. Maybe that could come before Luigi's Mansion 3. Or not.
And yes, it is "a little trick to reuse the already done engine without even having to create new content before the 3ds dies" but that doesn't mean it can't be a teaser. Kill two birds with one stone. I mean c'mon, you're getting poked by Nintendo's Luigi's Mansion 3DS stick but it's disappointing you instead making you turn around and gaze at the Luigi's Mansion 3 on Switch possiblility. Don't get poked. 
I do agree that the two Luigi's Mansion games being remade on Switch would have been cooler but somehow, I'm just not Salty or even disappointed by that. I don't know. Maybe it's just the fact that Nintendo has still not forgotten the formula of the first game, not to mention the fact that it's being remade in the first place, that leaves me satisfied. |
