Since Neo Mario Galaxy came out, I've been thinking of making a 1 world project, so here it is!

Super Mario Galaxy 2: Return to the Galaxy will feature:
-10 New Galaxies!
-21 Stars
-Return of the Ice Flower
-A new Final Level to test your skills!

So... you have no levels, no comets, no stars, no progress. And no screenshots. Dude, this is not reasonable. At least wait until you have some progress before saying stuff like this because nobody ever finishes projects like this.

people won't join a project that doesn't show much and does not impress them at all, especially when SMG hackers are known to give up early due to unstable teams and difficulty along the way.

thing is, in a new team with only little progress "behind the scenes", there's no guarantee you won't drop the project at some point, leaving your team in dismay and wasting thier time. I'm sure you'll say it won't happen, but we all say that at first.

IMO, only "planned" stuff is not gonna work. does that mean you aren't even sure if you are able to hack the game the way you want to, if you have decent skills, level design, and leadership experience?

ideas are ideas, I would argue anybody can come up with them. I'm sorry, but do you have anything done at all?

How is it harsh? If you have no hack then you have no hack. It's not gonna magic itself out of nowhere. Also, don't diss the community. Anyone would say the same thing in any other community.

I gave harsh critism because those were my true thoughts. why would I go out of my way to say the same thing, only more unclear and confusing?

anyway, the message we meant to convey was "get your act together if you really want to make this hack a success".

Fruity Dee normally when you announce a hack you have at least something to show... Like a prepared trailer or level. But, showing nothing is not normally taken well. It's kinda like saying hey guys! i'm working on a cure for cancer! but, there's no actual breakthrough or leads on how to cure it! SUPPORT ME
