No, and to be fair, I don't know who here is a staff member beside Staples. If someone else than him would ever boss me around I would check their profile to see who the hell they are and what gives them the right to boss me around.

Maybe users could be given six possible colors (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple) to choose from with each power level except banned having a different hue pattern? This would mean swapping the Admin light yellow and Global Moderator green, for example.

how about something like

var color = "hsl(" + Math.floor(Math.random() * 360) + ", 73%, 76%)";

except PHP instead of JS

actually that could probably be confused with commemorative username colors so nevermind

another option is to let the user customize the hue and leave the saturation and brightness unchangeable unless you're staff

just throwing some ideas

mods could be lighter colored admins darker colored?

that's generally how it is now, except for the admins using custom colors (which is all of them oof)

the yellow Local Mod color could either be brighter or closer to the human (pale) skin color.

this aside, I think the remaining colors are pretty perfect.

To me it seems the green, orange, and red Owner colors could be confused with the Normal user counterparts. Green and orange Owner could be darker whereas red Owner could be brighter.

Here's RanAS' table with those colors along with yellow Local Mod modified. Any thoughts?

why would he mean green and yellow? he means the green local and the green global look to close.

regardless, it doesn't matter. We have no globals anyway.

(also, I like both tables. Wish that Global Moderator and Owner weren't the near exact same hue, though, but again, doesn't matter as we have no globals)

On our old German board we had four formats only. This is simple and easy to follow. Having too many different colors and formats is pointless in my opinion.
