Well. I wanted to see, what's people most liked emulator and what's the best and cheapest PC configuration for it. My own PC has Elementary Linux 0.4, 1 GB DDR1 RAM, 80GB IDE HDD, Ati Radeon HD 3450 with AGP and uns Dolphin at 25FPS(!). So, what's your opinion?

Higan is quite the feat, of course it requires a very nice PC to run all games, but you can play 100% of the SNES library without issues.

Is Higan SNES emulator - y'know.I'm not good at emulator knowledge, but I know something weird like BGB.

Oh yeah! VBA-M to play Pokemon/Pokemon hacks.

VBA-M can easily be run on shit computers too. (VBA-M is a fork of VBA btw).

mGBA is better than VBA-M in basically every way.

My favorite emulator is probably BizHawk. It works for a bunch of consoles and it has a lot of features. Dolphin is great too.

Dolphin because it supports GCN and Wii games and I really love the texture/sprite dump function, makes sprite ripping doable without having to fiddle around with the files.

I like dolphin as well, I like it better now because it doesn't lag on my computer.

or so I'd say, but I'm having trouble getting DSlinux to run so I can dump the firmware.

I already dumped BIOSNDS7.ROM and BIOSNDS9.ROM with a convenient bios dumper (a DSBF Dump alternative because I'm not feeling like making a throwaway account for a download).

more like I'm voting for it because it's not in the poll

There are a ton of other emulators not in the poll including Project 64, 1964, ZNES (or ZSNES?). You just voted melonDS because you're scared of our local dictator. XD

but seriously, any real reason to vote for melonDS aside from "it's not in the poll"?

I feel like my poll. Everyone loves only Dolphin.

My opinion on emulators:
Project64: It's fine but it's inaccurate af. It's inaccuracy is actually the reason why SM64 romhacks don't work on real hardware.
Dolphin: It's great, my favorite emulator ever all the options allow for good computers to have better accuracy and for weaker ones to play the games at full speed with lower accuracy.
Blargsnes: It's good for what it is but snes9x for o3DS beats it in every possible way.
Snes9x: Works great if you don't have enough power to run bsnes but otherwise there's no reason to use it because bsnes is close to 100% accurate.
MelonDS: Works good so far, but it needs to get more features before I stop using desmume.
Desmume: It's good but it's far from being perfect for reasons you've probably heard a billion times already.

from what I've seen it seems really accurate and emulates the whole firmware

I'm sold.

It isn't that accurate yet, but it's aiming toward better accuracy in the future.

Well it very much depends on what games you want to play, doesn't it?

I don't have any emulators installed on this computer, but on the old one I have some NES emulator (can't remember its name), SNES9x or ZSNES, and Project64.

This. :3
higan is a feat of emulation and I have absolutely no idea why it isn't on the poll. However, I have to say UltraHLE is also a really innovative emulator for pioneering the HLE emulation standard seen in N64 emulators today. Plus the fact it was made just three years after the N64 came out and by default could run 17 games, makes it even more astonishing.

I'm sold.

DeSmuME and NO$GBA are able to emulate the whole firmware too (minus the parts that require wifi).

the two are still pretty inaccurate tho.
