Sometimes I really hate how people allways want to capture every nice moment. I'd just look up and enjoy the moment instead of bothering myself with getting it on tape. This really often ruins nice moments. Kinda reminds me on how my parents allways wanted to make pictures every few seconds when visiting cities and stuff while I simply wanted to enjoy what I saw...

Same for me, just they did let us out. We were at a 20 minute drive from the path of totality.
They just had us in a baseball field, watching it.

But it's not the teachers, since they said they would've let us go see, but the school board specifically stated to not let anyone out for any reason during the hour of the eclipse, since they were worried kids would look at the sun. Which is bullshit, since it barely even happened for us...
