Nice condition. Did you fix it or did you buy it like this?

So there is this thing I found in the streets a while ago.

[thumbnail]

It's one of those traffic lights for pedestrians. No idea why it was left for disposal, but whatever, it's mine now.

[thumbnail]

The inner circuit. It's a LED board. Dunno what happened to it, the plastic shells are almost intact, but the metal divider thing is crapoed.

[thumbnail]

Green light in action. Red doesn't work, probably a faulty transformer. Might attempt fixing it.

I'm also getting fancypants DS addons, hopefully soon enough, we'll see :)

Why should it be illegal tho as long as you do not disturb traffic?

There is no way they can forbid you to have something like that in your room (tho I don't quite get why anybody would want one :P)

It was laying on the ground near dumpsters, as is typical for things you don't want anymore, so I doubt there's anything wrong with it.

[02:20:36] <StapleButter> anyway, looking for switches out of curiosity
[02:20:50] <RicBent> cherry mx blue
[02:21:24] <StapleButter> not that kind of switch
[02:21:26] <StapleButter> you derpo
[02:21:32] <StapleButter> a 4-position switch would be perfect, but eh
[02:21:42] <StapleButter> or two regular switches

[02:22:12] <RicBent> short the cables if you want light
[02:22:12] <StapleButter> or a 3-pos but then you couldn't have red+green
[02:22:23] <StapleButter> breakers don't appreciate that
[02:22:37] <RicBent> "red+green" lol
[02:22:43] <RicBent> go take driving lessons

Anyway, I did some checks with my voltmeter and it tends to confirm what I thought. Red light transformer has no current at its output.

Ordered a replacement transformer and some switches. We'll see how all that goes.

Re: 4 way switch

What about simply using 2 separate switches as you want to be able to put both light phases on at the same time anyways?

It's what I'm going to do, I just thought a fancy 4-way switch would be more stylish, but those tend to be weird and expensive, so yeah.

Have to do that as well. My last GC controller broke recently and I only have two 3rd party ones left.

welp, i got it

[thumbnail]
[thumbnail]

here's also the shell of my previous controller, was a cool controller, but the emerald one is sexier

[thumbnail]

i replaced the joystick from the emerald one to the one that was on my smash one, since it was tight and i had to actually pull it up to play comfortably

My last controller broke a few weeks ago, when my sister got angry and threw it on the floor. :P

Now I have a GameCube with a bunch of games, but no controller. I can't order a new one because I am getting a gaming PC, which will eat up all my savings.

I've never owned a Gamecube :/

But that emerald one IS better :3
