So currently, I've been wanting to start a site. It won't have that much traffic at all, like probably at most 1/4 the load that Kuribo64 receives daily. However, I want to host the site with a professional and reliable host, but also a cheap one as well. There are so many choices out there, which is why I'm asking, because I have a limited amount of money to spend (only get ~$7 a month from YouTube).
I'd also like to ask if anyone knows whether PayPal is a bitch and requires a credit card number to make transactions (I don't have a credit card), and also if yes; if prepaid credit card numbers would work. I don't really want to transfer my limited money from YouTube to PayPal just to discover that I can't make any transactions. Thanks in advance. ____________________ MusiMasta - YouTube Channel Currently 374 subs! Help support me by subscribing! Thanks!

DigitalOcean, $5 per month is their smallest size. ____________________ a |

I host my stuff on DigitalOcean (and Kuribo64 is also hosted there), the pricing is nice and it has been quite reliable so far.
Of course it's only really an option if you're okay with managing and setting up the server yourself. |

You could try Linode. It's like DigitalOcean but they don't accept PayPal, only credit/debit cards.
Personally, I host my stuff on an OVH dedi (about $64/mo for really decent specs) but it's really overkill if you aren't doing good stuff on it. ____________________ ≤!-- Am I doing this right? --≥ |
